Abstract(s)
The main purpose of this study was to assess cognitive disturbances in people with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis, aiming to establish their impact on quality of life. For this purpose, a neuropsychological evaluation battery was used, to evaluate the most affected domains indicated in literature in this type of pathology. At the end the SF-36 questionnaire of life was applied. The sample consisted of 40 participants, divided into a clinical group and a control group, respectively composed of 20 patients and 20 healthy subjects from the community. We concluded that there were significant differences between groups in almost all areas evaluated. These differences manifest a significant impact on quality of life, particularly in mental health and general health.
