O presente trabalho é a Dissertação final de Mestrado Integrado em Teologia, a
qual se enquadra na área da Teologia sistemática. Tem como objectivo principal
analisar o Amor conjugal nos mais recentes documentos do Magistério pontifício, de
Paulo VI ao Papa Francisco.
A dissertação começa por considerar o amor conjugal como uma grandeza
natural, que se inscreve na constituição metafísica do Homem, enquanto ser composto
de um corpo e uma alma espiritual. Tomando a doutrina da teologia do corpo, oferece a
visão redentora do amor conjugal, para, depois, considerar o amor elevado a um nível
mais alto, equiparando-o à caridade perfeita. O amor conjugal é uma grandeza
antropológica e teológica que, no casal cristão, é santificado pelo sacramento do
matrimónio.
The present work is the final Dissertation of Integrated Master in Theology, which fits in the area of systematic Theology. Its main objective is to analyze conjugal love in the most recent documents of the Pontifical Magisterium, from Paul VI to Pope Francis. The dissertation begins by considering conjugal love as a natural greatness, which is inscribed in the metaphysical constitution of Man, while being composed of a body and a spiritual soul. Taking the doctrine of the theology of the body, it offers the redemptive vision of conjugal love, to later consider love elevated to a higher level, equating it with perfect charity. Conjugal love is an anthropological and theological greatness which, in the Christian couple, is sanctified by the sacrament of marriage.
