Abstract(s)
ensino deste instrumento.
This dissertation aims to contribute to the structuring, organisation and clarification of a methodology for group piano teaching in a piano Teaching lab environment for the 1st and 2nd grades of vocational music teaching. Based on the systematisation of the pedagogical practice of the author, that since 1995 implements this method of piano teaching at the Centro de Cultura Musical, and the literature review one seeks to contribute to the enlightenment of this issue that, although significantly developed in other countries, among which stands out the United States of America, only recently began to be disclosed in Portugal. Therefore the goal is to analyse how this type of teaching is a viable and advantageous alternative to the traditional model, materialised in individual classes practiced in conservatories and schools of music, at the beginning of piano learning. The systematisation of references, resources and activities will therefore be subject of study in order to clarify procedures and expectations. This process of knowledge construction aims to show how an effective planning of teaching piano in groups results in a true evolution in the pedagogy of piano teaching.
