O relatório foi desenvolvido no âmbito do Curso de Mestrado de Natureza Profissional em Enfermagem na Área de Especialização de Saúde Infantil e Pediátrica.
No momento em que a criança/jovem é submetida a cuidados de saúde, quer cuidados de saúde primários ou no âmbito de uma hospitalização, vivencia um elevado grau de ansiedade e diversos medos e quanto maior a distância do seu ambiente seguro e habitual, como uma hospitalização, maior a intensificação desses sintomas. Os enfermeiros, por serem os profissionais de saúde com maior proximidade da criança, devem tentar quebrar as barreiras inerentes aos cuidados de saúde, tornando as suas intervenções e abordagem o menos traumáticos possível.
Como principal objetivo deste relatório delineei: descrever e analisar as actividades desenvolvidas ao longo do Estágio para a aquisição de competências inerentes ao Enfermeiro Especialista em Saúde Infantil e Pediatria e sua, consequente, reflexão crítica.
A Unidade Curricular Estágio decorreu em locais de assistência à criança / família (centro de saúde, serviço de urgência pediátrica, unidade de cuidados neonatais e serviço de pediatria) que integraram três módulos distintos, com o intuito de aquisição e desenvolvimento de competências. Os objetivos gerais do Estágio foram: sensibilizar os profissionais de saúde, crianças, família e educadores no âmbito da pertinência dos cuidados atraumáticos; desenvolver competências do Enfermeiro Especialista de Saúde Infantil e Pediátrica no âmbito das diversas valências dos cuidados à criança/jovem e família. Para cada módulo foram identificadas intervenções de enfermagem, no âmbito da promoção de cuidados atraumáticos, desenvolvidas pelos profissionais nos distintos locais, assim como a implementação de estratégias de melhoria dos cuidados baseado no diagnóstico de situação efetuado. De entre as atividades realizadas destaco a realização de um role playing, ações de formação, elaboração de cartazes informativos, realização de guias de acolhimento para a criança, implementação da musicoterapia e de um “kit sem dor” e a mudança do ambiente de um quarto de isolamento.
Assim, foram realizados objetivos que me proporcionaram a aquisição de competências inerentes ao Enfermeiro Especialista de Saúde Infantil e Pediátrica, indispensáveis à minha formação como futura enfermeira especialista.
The report was developed under the Master Course of Nature Professional Nursing Specialization in Child Health and Pediatrics. Nurses, because they are health professionals with main proximity of the child should try to break the barriers inherent to health care, making their interventions and the least traumatic possible approach. The main objective of this report is: describe and analyzing the activities undertaken during the Stage for the acquisition of skills inherent Nurse Specialist in Pediatrics and Child Health and their, consequential, critical reflection. The Training Course held in local child care / family (health center, pediatric emergency department, neonatal care unit and pediatric service) that integrated three distinct modules, in order to acquire and develop skills. The general objectives of the stage were: awareness among health professionals, children, families and educators within the relevance of atraumatic care, developing skills of the Nurse Specialist Pediatric and Child Health under the different services of care to the child / young person and family. For each module were identified nursing interventions in the promotion of atraumatic care, developed by professionals in different locations, as well as implementation strategies for improving care based on diagnosis of the situation made. Among the activities highlight the achievement of a role playing, training, preparation of informative posters, achievement guides for child care, implementation of music therapy and a "kit without pain" and change the ambience of a room insulation. Thus, targets were performed that provided me the skills acquisition inherent Nurse Specialist Pediatric and Child Health, essential to my training as a future nurse specialist.
