Abstract(s)
O presente relatório surge no âmbito da Unidade Curricular “Estágio Final e Relatório”, do 15º Curso de Mestrado em Enfermagem com Especialização em Enfermagem de Saúde Infantil e Pediátrica, da Universidade Católica Portuguesa do Porto. Este relatório tem como objetivo descrever e refletir todo o percurso formativo do qual resultou a aquisição, desenvolvimento e integração de novos conhecimentos e competências na assistência especializada à criança e família. A aquisição de competências foi concretizada com a realização do estágio em três contextos, nomeadamente: serviço de neonatologia, serviço de urgência e cuidados de saúde primários. Este percurso formativo baseou-se numa metodologia descritiva e critico-reflexiva, onde as várias atividades desenvolvidas ao longo do estágio foram alicerçadas em fundamentação teórica baseada na evidência científica mais atual, o que exigiu pesquisa bibliográfica para lhe conceder maior consistência, bem como, a mobilização dos conhecimentos e habilidades adquiridos ao longo do percurso académico e profissional. Só assim foi possível concretizar os objetivos específicos delineados para cada um dos contextos, de maneira a atingir as competências exigidas no ciclo de estudos do curso. As competências exigidas encontram-se agrupadas, por uma questão de organização do documento, em quatro domínios de atuação: a prestação de cuidados, a formação, a gestão e a investigação. Ao longo do estágio foram trabalhadas e analisadas diversas áreas da competência do Enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem de Saúde Infantil e Pediátrica, tais como: a importância da comunicação no estabelecimento de uma relação terapêutica entre a criança/jovem e família; a assistência especializada em situações de especial complexidade; a gestão e o controlo da dor; a parceria de cuidados, bem como a promoção da parentalidade e a vigilância da saúde infantil e juvenil, entre outros. Foi também abordada a importância do enfermeiro especialista na gestão de cuidados e recursos, na formação pessoal e profissional contínua, bem como na formação de pares e ainda na investigação, como impulsionador de projetos de investigação baseando a sua prática na melhor evidência. Com este relatório consegui explanar o meu desempenho na aquisição de habilidades e competências especializadas na assistência à criança e família, dando resposta aos objetivos propostos e desenvolvendo com sucesso as competências previstas no ciclo de estudos do curso, com vista a aquisição do grau de mestre e Enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem de Saúde Infantil e Pediátrica. Neste relatório refiro ainda as implicações deste percurso formativo para a prática profissional. Este documento constitui-se com um contributo essencial para o meu crescimento pessoal e profissional, de aquisição e consolidação de competências que me permitirá atingir a excelência na assistência especializada à criança e família, bem como melhorar a qualidade e humanização dos cuidados prestados.
The report arises in the scope of the curricular unit “Final Internship and Report” of the 15th Master's Course in Nursing with Children Health and Pediatric Nursing Specialization, at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa do Porto. This report aims describe and reflect the entire training path which resulted in the acquisition, development and integration of new knowledge and skills in specialized care for children and families. The acquisition of skills was achieved through the internship in three contexts, namely: Neonatology Service, Pediatric Emergency Service and Primary Health Care. This training path was based on a descriptive and critical-reflective methodology, where the various activities developed throughout the internship were based on theoretical foundations based on the most current scientific evidence, which required bibliographical research to give it greater consistency, as well as the mobilization of knowledge and skills acquired throughout the academic and professional path. This was the only way to achieve the specific objectives outlined for each of the contexts, in order to achieve the skills required in the course's study cycle. The required skills are grouped, for the sake of document organization, into four areas of action: care provision, training, management and research. Throughout the internship, several areas of competence of the Specialist Nurse in Child and Paediatric Health Nursing were worked on and analyzed, such as: the importance of communication in establishing a therapeutic relationship between the child/youth and the family; specialized assistance in situations of special complexity; the care partnership, as well as the promotion of parenting and the surveillance of child and youth health, among others. The importance of the specialist nurse, was also addressed, in the management of care and resources, in continuous personal and professional training, as well as in peer training and also in research, as a booster of research projects, basing their practice on the best evidence, With this report I was able to explain my performance in the acquisition of specialized skills and competences in child and family care, responding to the proposed objectives and successfully developing the competences foreseen in the cycle of studies of the course, with a view of acquiring the master's degree and Specialist Nurse in Child and Paediatric Health Nursing. This report also refers to the implications of this training path for the professional practice. This document constitutes an essential contribution to my personal and professional growth, acquisition and consolidation of skills that will allow me to achieve excellence in specialized assistance to children and families, as well as to improve the quality and humanization of the care provided.
