Este trabalho aborda o jornalismo televisivo de proximidade utilizando como estudo de
caso o «Telejornal Madeira» da RTP Madeira. Esta investigação resulta de um estágio
curricular de seis meses, realizado entre 2 de outubro de 2017 e 31 de março de 2018,
na redação da presente estação televisiva.
O que se pretende aferir é como o «Telejornal Madeira» aborda assuntos nacionais e
internacionais. Será que as notícias nacionais e internacionais estão presentes todos os
dias? Como é feita a abordagem? Existe uma adaptação dos temas para um meio mais
próximo? Qual o interesse em divulgar notícias internacionais e nacionais no jornalismo
de proximidade?
Os resultados mostram que a informação prestada pela RTP Madeira aos madeirenses é
maioritariamente sobre assuntos que lhes digam respeito quer sejam apenas assuntos
regionais, quer sejam assuntos nacionais ou internacionais, isto é, aborda temas que vão
além da proximidade geográfica.
This internship report aims to study the local television journalism, based on the sixmonth internship, held beetween 2nd October 2017 and 31st March 2018, in RTP Madeira. The «Telejornal Madeira» (Regional news) was used as case study. The purpose of the study is to assess how the «Telejornal Madeira» approaches national and international matters. Are national and/or international news present every day in «Telejornal Madeira»? Which approach is taken? Is there any adaptation of the themes to a regional environment? What is the interest of broadcast international and/or nacional news on local journalism? These are the main questions which are intended to be answered for this case study. The results show that the information provided by RTP Madeira to the local people is mostly about subjects that means something to the locals, no matters if it is about local matters or national or international issues, they are all adressed to topics that go beyond the greographic proximity.
