A Rádio Colonial em Angola. Festas e Rifas para Comprar o Emissor é um livro sobre a rádio ouvida e feita em Angola durante a época colonial, do arranque de emissões em ondas curtas da Emissora Nacional (1936) à independência do país (1975). Ao longo do tempo, a radiodifusão seguiu vários caminhos: programas enviados de Lisboa, constituição de rádio governamental em Luanda e de rádios clubes, estes compostos por associações sem fins lucrativos nas várias cidades da colónia, e, no conjunto, organizações dirigidas para escolhas ideológicas a quase ignorarem a população de origem africana, vista como grupo a educar ou simplesmente subversiva. Aqui, incluo programas em línguas nacionais, a indicarem resistência política, e escuta de emissões, caso das elaboradas pelos movimentos de libertação.
Colonial radio in Angola: parties and raffles to buy the transmitter is a book about the radio that was heard and made in Angola during the colonial era, from the start of shortwave broadcasting by Emissora Nacional (1936) to the country's independence (1975). Over time, broadcasting followed various paths: programs sent from Lisbon, the constitution of government radio in Luanda, and radio clubs, these were composed of non-profit associations in the various cities of the colony, and, on the whole, organizations directed towards ideological choices that almost ignored the population of african origin, seen as a group to be educated or simply subversive.
