Com este trabalho sobre «O contributo do conceito de felicidade em S. Agostinho para
lecionação da “Unidade Letiva 3: Projeto de Vida”» temos por objetivo propor alterações ao
Programa de Educação Moral e Religiosa Católica a partir da inspiração agostiniana,
nomeadamente do conceito de felicidade e outros conceitos complementares. Este conceito
atravessa toda a obra de Agostinho, sendo considerado uma meta atingida em plenitude em
Deus e uma tarefa que implica a vivência de um amor ordenado que marca a interioridade,
orienta para a descoberta de Deus no mais profundo de si mesmo, e as relações com o outro e
com os bens materiais. Assim, refletir a felicidade em Agostinho implica mover-nos dentro de
uma antropologia integral, que valoriza e envolve cada dimensão da pessoa humana na
construção de um projeto de vida com sentido e orientador.
Com este objetivo, desenvolveremos o trabalho em três capítulos. No primeiro,
contextualizaremos a PES, o que refletirá o percurso realizado no estágio na escola D. Fernando
II do agrupamento de escolas Monte da Lua; no segundo, estudaremos o conceito de felicidade
em Santo Agostinho, focando-nos nas raízes filosóficas e bíblicas e na análise, por temáticas,
deste assunto nas obras deste autor; por fim, apresentaremos a nossa proposta pedagógica, com
a sugestão de alterações ao Programa e a planificação de uma primeira aula de acordo com
essas propostas.
This essay about «The contribution of the concept of happiness in St. Augustine to teaching “Unit 3: The project of Life”» has the purpose of suggesting alterations to the Religious Studies syllabus based on the inspiration of St. Augustine, taking into account, namely his concept of happiness and other additional concepts. The former concept, present in all of St. Augustine’s work, is considered a goal only fully achieved through God and a task that implies living an ordained love which marks inwardness, guides to the discovery of God in the most profound knowledge of oneself, regarding the relationships we have with others and all material things. Thus, reflecting St. Augustine’s view of happiness, let us move forward in Integral Anthropology, that values and involves each human dimension in the construction of the project of life with meaning and guidance. To achieve this goal, we will develop this essay in three chapters. The first, contextualising the Supervised Teaching Practice (PES), that will reflect the work accomplished during the Teaching Training Programme in D. Fernando II School (Monte da Lua Schools); in the second, we will study St. Augustine’s concept of happiness, focusing on philosophical and biblical foundations and through the analysis of the different topics of the subject in his work; in conclusion, we will present our pedagogical approach, suggesting alterations do the Religious Studies syllabus which will be taken into consideration when defining the first lesson plan.
