O presente relatório de estágio pretende, primeiro, abordar o dia a dia de um estagiário numa empresa de tradução audiovisual, a Sintagma, incluindo as tarefas desenvolvidas, as plataformas de tradução utilizadas e as formações que ocorreram nos quatro meses de estágio. De seguida, serão analisados os guias de tradução audiovisual existentes, tanto a nível nacional como internacional, e também, com base na minha experiência, os guias utilizados no estágio e fornecidos pela empresa, explorando a sua importância para o trabalho de um tradutor audiovisual. Com o meu relatório de estágio, gostaria de contribuir para o conhecimento na área da tradução audiovisual. Tentarei explorar os guias de tradução audiovisual e a forma como estes evoluíram com o aparecimento e divulgação das plataformas de streaming, nomeadamente a Netflix, uma das mais relevantes da área. Será também realizada uma revisão dos guias que existem para a língua portuguesa e elaborada uma proposta para um novo guia de tradução audiovisual. Este guia apresentado tem como objetivo facilitar o trabalho dos tradutores audiovisuais em Portugal, bem como o ensino e aprendizagem da tradução audiovisual.
This internship report aims to, firstly, explain the daily routine of an intern in an audiovisual translation company, Sintagma, including the tasks developed, the translation platforms used and the training processes that occurred during the four month internship. Then I will analyse the audiovisual translation guides that exist in a national and international level as well as the guides that were provided by the company, exploring their relevance for the work of an audiovisual translator. With my internship report I aim to contribute to the existing knowledge in audiovisual translation. I will explore the audiovisual translation guides as well as the way they evolved with the emergence and dissemination of streaming platforms, namely Netflix, one of the most relevant platforms of the area. I will also present a revision of the existing audiovisual translation guides for the portuguese language and I will propose a new audiovisual translation guide. This guide intends to facilitate the work of every audiovisual translator in Portugal as well as the learning and teaching process for students and teachers of the area.
