| dc.description.abstract | As migrações forçadas são um tema cada vez mais atual, onde inúmeras pessoas fogem do seu país à procura de asilo (Vieira et al., 2017). Para uma melhor integração e adaptação transcultural, são fundamentais as políticas de acolhimento (Khoury, 2019). Este estudo debruçar-se-á sobre uma delas, nomeadamente a aprendizagem da língua do país anfitrião, tendo como objetivo principal compreender e explorar a importância da aprendizagem da língua do país de acolhimento no processo de integração e bem-estar psicológico das pessoas refugiadas. A abordagem qualitativa, permitiu analisar 173 relatórios de memórias de visitas, redigidos pelos voluntários que acompanhavam três famílias refugiadas no âmbito do programa de voluntariado ‘MEERU Aproxima’. Os resultados são reveladores da importância da aprendizagem da língua portuguesa no processo de integração e bem-estar psicológico das pessoas refugiadas em Portugal. No entanto, observaram-se a existência de obstáculos na aprendizagem e por conseguinte, consequências em diversas dimensões no quotidiano dos refugiados, desde o acesso ao mercado de trabalho, à educação, saúde, na comunicação, até ao tratamento de burocracias. O uso de ferramentas de tradução e tecnologias surgem como formas de suprimir as dificuldades de interação. Surgem, inclusive, fatores que incentivam a aprendizagem da língua nos refugiados, que auxiliam num posterior bem-estar psicológico, assim como a existência de uma integração mútua entre a população refugiada e local. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Forced migrations are an increasingly current issue, where countless people flee their country in search of asylum (Vieira et al., 2017). For better integration and cross-cultural adaptation, reception policies were created (Khoury, 2019). This study will focus on one of them, namely learning the language of the host country, with the main objective of understanding and exploring the importance of learning the language of the host country in the process of integration and psychological well-being of refugees. The qualitative approach allowed the analysis of 173 visits memories reports, written by volunteers who accompanied three families welcomed by MEERU. The results showed the importance of learning the Portuguese language in the process of integration and psychological well-being of refugees in Portugal. However, there were obstacles to learning and, therefore, consequences in different dimensions in the daily lives of refugees, from access to the labor market, education, health, communication, to the handling of bureaucracy. The use of translation tools and technologies emerge as ways to suppress interaction difficulties. There are even factors that encourage the learning of the language in refugees, which help in a later psychological well-being, as well as the existence of a mutual integration between the refugee and local population. | pt_PT |
