Abstract(s)
O Ocidente tem sido abalado por actos terroristas que ameaçam a sua
organização política, a democracia. Na Antiguidade Clássica, dois grandes
acontecimentos marcaram a conquista da liberdade, garante daquele regime político:
as Guerras Medo-Persas (V. a. C.)
e as Guerras Púnicas (III-II a. C.).
The West has been shaken by acts of terrorism that threaten its political organization, democracy. In Classical Antiquity, two striking events represent the milestones of the conquest of freedom underlying this political system: the Persian wars (V b. C.) and the Punic wars (III-II b. C.).
