A partir de entrevistas a cinco rappers evangélicos, este artigo pretende reconstituir as origens do holy hiphop nos subúrbios de Lisboa. Realiza uma análise de tipo prosopografico procurando enquadrar estes itinerários no panorama do cristianismo evangélico português atual. Explora alguns elementos dos conteúdos das entrevistas, da construção visual dos rappers, dos seus nicknames e da sua produção musical, ponderando tópicos como a relação destes com as suas igrejas ou a sua inscrição na cultura suburbana.
Based on interviews with five gospel rappers, this article aims to reconstruct the origins of holy hiphop in the Lisbon’s suburbs. It carries out an analysis of a prosopographic type seeking to fit these itineraries in the panorama of current Portuguese evangelical Christianity. It explores some elements of the interview content, of visual construction of the rappers, of their nicknames and their musical production, pondering topics such as their relationship with their churches or its inscription in suburban culture.
