Abstract(s)
A presente dissertação insere-se no âmbito do Projeto Europeu FACT – Fostering Alternative Care for Troubled Minors – e tem como objetivo principal procurar compreender, a partir da perspetiva dos profissionais envolvidos, como é realizada a articulação entre os profissionais de Saúde e da Justiça, no que diz respeito à intervenção com jovens que apresentam psicopatologia e estão a cumprir Medidas Tutelares Educativas. Com base na metodologia qualitativa, foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas
em profundidade e focus group contando com um total de 11 profissionais de diversas áreas nomeadamente da saúde mental e da justiça juvenil que têm contacto com a problemática em estudo. A escolha destes profissionais prendeu-se com a capacidade de fornecerem conteúdos ricos para a compreensão desta temática. No que concerne aos resultados obtidos é de salientar que a articulação entre os profissionais de saúde e da justiça parece ser percebida como eficaz nos casos e que existe
uma comunicação interpessoal mais informal e próxima, contudo a articulação interinstitucional (tribunal, reinserção social, estruturas formativas), não é tão eficiente, existindo necessidade de a melhorar com o objetivo último de promover uma abordagem adequada e uma otimização do processo de intervenção particularmente junto de jovens com problemas de saúde mental.
This dissertation is part of the European Project FACT - Fostering Alternative Care for Troubled Minors - and its main objective is to reflect, from the perspective of the interests involved, how the articulation between health and justice professionals is realized, relating to the intervention with young people with psychopathology to comply with Educational Tutelary Measures. Based on the qualitative methodology, in-depth semi-structured interviews were conducted and a focus group with a total of 11 professionals from different areas, namely mental health and juvenile justice who have contact with the problem under study. The choice of these professionals was with the ability to provide rich content for understanding this theme. Regarding the results obtained, it should be noted that the articulation between health and justice professionals seems to be perceived as effective in cases where there is a more informal and close interpersonal communication, but interinstitutional articulation (court, social reintegration teams, formative structures), it is not as efficient and there is a need to improve it with the ultimate goal of promoting an appropriate approach and optimization of the intervention process, especially among young people with mental health problems.
