As razões para que o ser humano consiga ter uma boa qualidade de vida e o bem-estar desejado são multifatoriais, sendo uma das principais a saúde oral, inteiramente ligada às condições sociais, físicas e emocionais. Na procura da saúde oral e da estética dentária, as pessoas estão a habituar-se cada vez mais a realizar visitas periódicas ao médico dentista. Este relatório de atividade clínica descreve os atos clínicos realizados durante o curso de pós-graduação em Periodontologia, realizado na Clínica Dentária Universitária da Universidade Católica Portuguesa - Viseu, no período de abril de 2019 a fevereiro de 2020. Será mencionado um descritivo completo do número de pacientes atendidos, bem como idade, género e tipo de tratamento realizado, realçando alguns casos diferenciados. Este relatório foi construído através das consultas realizadas pelos alunos da pós-graduação, tendo sido compiladas, analisadas e publicadas todas as informações dos pacientes bem como o tratamento proposto e realizado durante o curso. A escolha pelo relatório de atividade clínica visou a aquisição de conhecimentos e experiências através do funcionamento da clínica de medicina dentária e suas rotinas. Realçam-se as orientações recebidas dos professores, assim como a troca de opiniões e de experiências.
Reasons for the human being to be able to have a good quality of life and the desired well-being are multifactorial, one of the main ones being oral health, which is entirely linked to social, physical, and emotional conditions. In the search for oral health and dental aesthetics, people are getting increasingly used to periodic visits to the dentist. This clinical activity report describes the clinical acts performed during the postgraduate course in Periodontology, held at the University Dental Clinic of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa - Viseu, from April 2019 to February 2020. It includes a full description of the number of patients seen and the age, gender, and type of treatment performed, highlighting some different cases. This clinical activity report aimed at acquiring knowledge and experiences, and it was constructed through consultations carried out by graduate students. All patient information was compiled, analyzed, and published, as well as the treatment proposed and carried out during the course. Advice received from the professors is enhanced, as well as the exchange of opinions and experiences.
