O presente relatório descreve o processo e resultado do Mestrado em Enfermagem com Especialização em Enfermagem Comunitária, na área de Enfermagem de Saúde Comunitária e de Saúde Pública desenvolvido na Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Instituto de Ciências da Saúde. Assente no desenvolvimento de competências especializadas e de Mestre em Enfermagem, o percurso do estudante, quer na componente teórica do Mestrado, quer no estágio Saúde Comunitária: Vigilância e Decisão Clínica e no Estágio Final, culminando com a apresentação deste documento, tivemos como fundamentos aumentar conhecimentos teórico-prático da equipa de enfermagem do bloco operatório e dos enfermeiros de serviço de internamento pós-cirúrgico do hospital da Guiné-Bissau com vista a melhorar a qualidade de cuidados de enfermagem prestados aos doentes e familiares no bloco operatório e no serviço de internamento pós-cirúrgico do hospital da Guiné-Bissau de modo a reduzir o nível das infeções no peri-operatório e no contexto comunitário. Esta iniciativa permitiu-nos igualmente conhecer alguns problemas que de fato interferem muito no que diz respeito a qualidade de cuidados de enfermagem prestados por eles aos doentes e familiares. Relativamente aos resultados obtidos das duas avaliações de conhecimento efetuadas, na primeira avaliação antes da formação os formandos obtiveram uma média final de 43,5% o que indica conhecimentos não demostrado pelos formandos, justificando assim a nossa intervenção no que tange essa necessidade. Já na segunda avaliação depois da formação, os formandos obtiveram uma média final de 85,5% o que indica conhecimentos demostrados pelos formandos, quer dizer conseguiram grandes ganhos de conhecimentos com a formação ministrada. Realmente notou-se um ganho coletivo significativo de 42% por parte dos formandos comparando assim as duas médias finais. O desenvolvimento do presente projeto permitiu-nos desenvolver algumas atividades formativas com objetivo de capacitar a equipa de Enfermagem do Hospital na Guiné-Bissau, igualmente desenvolver planos de atividades capacitação de grupos e comunidades, com vista a promover a educação para saúde para a comunidade local, permitiu-nos igualmente desenvolver as competências previstas para o grau académico de Mestre em Enfermagem.
This report describes the process and outcome of the master’s in nursing with Specialization in Community Nursing, in the area of Community Health and Public Health Nursing, developed at the Portuguese Catholic University, Institute of Health Sciences. Based on the development of specialized skills and a Master's in Nursing, the student's path, whether in the theoretical component of the Master's degree, or in the Community Health: Surveillance and Clinical Decision and in the Final Internship, culminating with the presentation of this document, was based on increasing theoretical-practical knowledge of the operating room nursing team and post-surgical inpatient service nurses at the Guinea-Bissau hospital in order to improve the quality of nursing care provided to patients and their families in the operating room and in the inpatient service post-surgical treatment at the Guinea-Bissau hospital in order to reduce the level of infections in the perioperative period and in the community context. This initiative also allowed us to know some problems that in fact interfere a lot about the quality of nursing care provided by them to patients and their families. Regarding the results obtained from the two knowledge assessments carried out, in the first assessment before training, the trainees obtained a final average of 43.5%, which indicates knowledge not demonstrated by the trainees, thus justifying our intervention regarding this need. In the second evaluation after the training, the trainees obtained a final average of 85.5%, which indicates the knowledge demonstrated by the trainees, that is, they achieved great gains in knowledge with the training provided. A significant collective gain of 42% on the part of the trainees was noticed, thus comparing the two final averages. The development of this project allowed us to develop some training activities with the aim of training the Nursing team at the Hospital in Guinea-Bissau, also developing activity plans for training groups and communities, with a view to promoting health education for the local community, it also allowed us to develop the competences foreseen for the academic degree of master’s in nursing.
