A presente investigação procura descrever e compreender as perceções no seio
organizacional sobre os trabalhadores seniores, tendo os seguintes objetivos
específicos: descrever as perceções sobre o trabalhador sénior no seio organizacional;
compreender as práticas de RH aplicadas ao trabalhador sénior; descrever as
perceções sobre o mentoring, enquanto estratégia de inclusão do trabalhador sénior, no
seio organizacional. A investigação de cariz qualitativo, teve como participantes
trabalhadores seniores e mentores, trabalhadores jovens e mentorados e gestores de
Recursos Humanos. Foram desenvolvidas nove entrevistas individuais,
semiestruturadas. Tendo em conta o objetivo desta investigação, a análise temática foi
a técnica utilizada no tratamento de dados. Conclui-se que os trabalhadores seniores
são percecionados de forma positiva no contexto organizacional e que o mentoring é
uma ótima estratégia de inclusão para os trabalhadores seniores.
Esta investigação procura ser um contributo para a inclusão produtiva dos
trabalhadores mais velhos, demonstrando os benefícios que estes trabalhadores podem
trazer para as organizações.
This investigation seeks to describe and understand the organizational perceptions about older workers and it has the following specific objectives: describing the perceptions about the older worker within the organization; understanding HR practices applied to the older worker; describing the perceptions about mentoring, while older worker inclusion strategy, within the organization. The qualitative investigation had as participants older workers and mentors, young workers and trainees and Human Resources managers. Nine individual semi-structured interviews were developed. Regarding the purpose of this investigation, the technique used in the treatment of data was the thematic analysis. It is concluded that older workers are perceived positively in the organizational context and that mentoring is a great inclusion strategy for them. This investigation seeks to be a contribution to the productive inclusion of older workers, showing the benefits that these workers can bring to organizations.
