Dependência funcional e auto-estima na pessoa com ferida crónica

| dc.description.abstract | Por detrás da ferida existem múltiplos factores, a cicatrização é um processo complexo dependente de diversos factores, muitos deles intrínsecos à pessoa. O profissional de saúde deve ter uma visão ampla no que se refere ao tratamento da ferida crónica, não se deve centrar apenas na realização de tratamentos. É fundamental entender a pessoa com ferida no sentido mais lato e holístico, esta é uma realidade muito mais abrangente. Através da revisão bibliográfica efectuada e com base nos estudos anteriores existentes, foi definido um quadro conceptual que serviu de suporte teórico ao nosso estudo. Este quadro conceptual permitiu estabelecer as relações hipotéticas existentes entre os diferentes conceitos em estudo e definir as hipóteses de estudo. Temos como principal objectivo compreender de que forma o nível de dependência funcional originado pela presença de uma ferida crónica irá afectar o quotidiano da pessoa com ferida crónica e consequentemente a sua auto-estima. Para tal foi elaborado um estudo do tipo descritivo, transversal, correlacional, não experimental inserido numa metodologia quantitativa. Foi utilizada uma amostra do estudo constituída por 58 indivíduos com ferida crónica, que se encontram sob cuidados diferenciados, em lar residencial e na Rede de Cuidados Continuados Integrados, nesta última no âmbito do domicílio e de unidades institucionais, a nível do Barlavento Algarvio. A técnica utilizada foi de amostragem por conveniência. Os resultados encontrados relacionam positivamente o nível de dependência funcional e o nível de auto-estima do sujeito em estudo. A dor e nível de auto-estima não apresentaram nestas amostra diferenças significativas. Não se verificou relação entre a idade da ferida e o nível de auto-estima, assim como não se verificou relação entre o suporte familiar e o nível de auto-estima. Por último constataram-se diferenças significativas entre a etiologia da ferida e o nível de dependência funcional. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | Behind the wound there are multiple factors, the healing is a dependent complex process of diverse factors, many of them are intrinsic to the person. The health professional must have an ample vision as for the treatment of the chronic wound, not if it must center only in the accomplishment of treatments. It is basic to understand the person with wound in a broad and holistic direction, this is a much more embracing reality. Through the bibliographical revision and on the basis of the existing previous studies, were defined a conceptual picture that served of theoretical support to our study. This conceptual picture allowed to establish the existing hypothetical relations between the different concepts in study and to define the study hypotheses. We have as main objective to understand in what forms the level of functional dependence originated by the presence of a chronic wound will go to affect the quotidian of the person with chronic wound and consequently its self esteem. For such a study of descriptive, transversal, correlational the type was elaborated, not experimental inserted in a quantitative methodology. A sample of the study consisting of 58 individuals with chronic wound, that if find under differentiated cares, in residential home and the Net of Integrated Continued Cares, in this last one in the scope of the domicile and of institutional units was used, the level of Algarve Windward. The used technique was of sampling for convenience. The joined results relate the level of functional dependence positively and the level of self-esteem of the citizen in study. The pain and level of self-esteem had not presented in this sample significant differences. Relation was not verified between the age of the wound and the level of self-esteem, as well as relation between the family support was not verified and the level of self-esteem.
