Abstract(s)
The main goal of this study, entitled "Children's voice: conceptions, attitudes and feelings towards diversity" is to contribute to clarify and enrich the knowledge of children's perceptions and attitudes towards inclusive education. To meet this objective, this research work was based on a qualitative approach, where children's voices were heard in order to consider their opinions, feelings and perceptions, in order to move towards inclusion. The methodology used was a semi-structured interview, sociometric tests to analyze the preferences and rejections of students in the classes, and classroom observations to complement the information collected in the other instruments. After the analysis and interpretation of the results, we concluded that the children perceived diversity as difficulties associated with learning and/or behavior, and that in general, these do not interfere with their school interactions, revealing mostly positive indexes of group cohesion. However, there is still a long way to go and it is expected that further studies on this issue will be developed, namely listening to other perspectives and conceptions of other possible collaborative agents.
