Abstract(s)
Introdução: O aparecimento dos alinhadores surge da demanda estética dos
pacientes e dos problemas associados aos tratamentos convencionais. Este tipo
de tratamento tem experimentado um crescimento exponencial, sendo
atualmente utilizado tanto para pequenas más oclusões quanto para tratamentos
mais complexos.
Este trabalho analisa o sistema de alinhadores, baseando-se na pesquisa dos
conceitos de história, vantagens, desvantagens, indicações, contra-indicações,
tempo e eficiência, eficácia clínica, attachments e quais fatores devem ser
considerados para escolher um sistema de alinhadores.
O objetivo principal é avaliar o grau de conhecimento e controle das diferentes
técnicas e soluções pelos médicos dentistas, bem como os motivos que os
levaram a utilizar os distintos tipos de alinhadores.
Materiais e Métodos: O sistema escolhido para avaliar o conhecimento dos
clínicos nos diferentes tipos de alinhadores foi um questionário realizado na
plataforma Qualtrics, distribuído de online às diferentes instituições, com opção
de resposta em português e espanhol.
Resultados: A amostra presente neste estudo é constituída por 189 indivíduos,
dos quais 71 são de origem portuguesa e 118 de origem espanhola. Os
entrevistados são tanto médicos como médicos dentistas com idades entre 23 e
mais de 55 anos, que responderam livremente dissertarão questionário sobre as
diferenças de conhecimento entre os clínicos de Espanha e Portugal.
Conclusão: O estudo permite comparar as respostas dos médicos e médicos
dentistas com a literatura existente, o que nos permite conhecer e aprofundar as
escolhas e diferenças de opiniões entre os clínicos.
Introduction: The emergence of aligners arises from the aesthetic demand of patients and the problems associated with conventional treatments. This type of treatment has experienced exponential growth, being used for both minor occlusions and more complex treatments today. This study investigates the aligner system, based on research on the concepts of history, advantages, disadvantages, indications, contraindications, time and efficiency, clinical efficacy, attachments, and which factors should be considered when choosing an aligner system. The main objective is to evaluate the degree of knowledge and control of different techniques and solutions by dentists, as well as the reasons that led them to use different types of aligners. Materials and Methods: The chosen system for evaluating the knowledge of clinicians in different types of aligners was a questionnaire conducted on the Qualtrics platform, distributed online to different institutions, with the option of answering in Portuguese and Spanish. Results: The sample in this study consists of 189 individuals, of which 71 are of Portuguese origin and 118 are of Spanish origin. The respondents are both physicians and dentists aged between 23 and over 55, who freely responded to discuss the differences in knowledge between clinicians in Spain and Portugal. Conclusion: The study allows for a comparison of the responses of physicians and dentists with existing literature, which enables us to understand and deepen the choices and differences in opinions among clinicians.
