- Predicting different dimensions of music performance anxiety in young adolescents: the role of gender, psychological vulnerability, and music self-efficacyPublication . Dias, Pedro; Veríssimo, Lurdes; Silva, InêsThe present study aimed to examine sociodemographic, music-related, and psychological predictors of music performance anxiety (MPA) in a group of 145 adolescent music students. The study also aimed to confirm the bifactorial structure of the Portuguese version of the MPAI-A. Results from the CFA showed an appropriate fit of the bi-dimensional organization of MPA into two dimensions: cognitive-somatic and performance. The results showed that each dimension of MPA was predicted by different variables: cognitive-somatic MPA was predicted by gender (female), higher levels of emotional and behavioural problems, and lower levels of music self-efficacy; performance MPA was predicted by lower levels of music self-efficacy. Results highlight the importance of mental health and motivational cognitions, particularly the role of emotional and behavioural problems and self-efficacy on MPA.
- Dinamismos eclesiais da comunhão, participação, missão e autossustentabilidade económica da igreja no contexto da diocese de PembaPublication . Ração, Manuel Valentim; Rodrigues, Luís Miguel FigueiredoThe ecclesial dynamisms of communion, participation, and mission are the inner, active forces that animate the life of the Church and enable her to remain ever more faithful to her calling. Communion strengthens and expresses the unity of the Whole Church, grounded in the Most Holy Trinity. Participation calls for co-responsibility, as a necessary condition of all the baptized, while mission impels the Church to go forth beyond herself to proclaim, witness, “the Church does not exist for herself”: she lives to evangelize and to bear witness to the Gospel of Christ. This study reflect on the Church´s identity and its constitutive dynamics Within the Mozambican context, with particular reference to the concrete reality of the Diocese of Pemba. The research is organized into three chapters. The first chapter examines the theological and pastoral foundations of communion, participation, and mission. The Trinity is presented as the paradigm of perfect community and the wellspring of the ecclesial life. The chapter also considers the experience of the earliest Christian communities, the Church of the Second Vatican Council, and the ongoing synodal process. The second chapter explores the ecclesial dynamisms of the Church in Mozambique, offering a brief historical reading of the Christian faith in the country, the National Pastoral Assemblies, and synodal reflections that have shaped ecclesial life. It further addresses the tension between evangelization, colonization, and local culture, highlighting the pastoral challenges faced after independence and the search for the Church´s proper identity in Mozambique. Finally, the third chapter focuses on the context of the Diocese of Pemba. It argues for the need to integrate communion, participation, and mission with economic self-sustainability, an indispensable condition for pastoral vitality. In this horizon, special emphasis is placed on the revitalization of the tithe as a concrete expression of participation and co-responsability, and as a pathway that strengthens the Churchs´s mission and life of her communities.
- O tratamento digno do doente mental perigoso : entre o direito penal e a nova lei da saúde mentalPublication . Batista, Margarida Bride Veiga; Alves, Rogério Paulo CastanhoMental health is an increasingly topical issue, both in everyday life and in various professional fields, and it's no different in the field of law, more specifically in criminal law. When someone suffering from a mental illness commits a crime, don't have the capacity to understand that: in other words, they lack a guilty judgment about their conduct. In criminal law, to consider an act as a crime, we have to be faced with a typical unlawful and culpable fact and, in what concerns to mental health, if the agent is not at fault, the most logical thing would be to dismiss the area of criminal law to resolve the situation. However, this is not the case in our legal system, where part of the mentally ill - the dangerously incompetent - are relevant to criminal law. This paper aims to find out how our system resolves these situations, by analyzing the new Mental Health Law, seeing if there have been any notable changes, and also trying to offer a fresh view on the issue.
- A lei n. º 5/2002 de 11 de janeiro : derrogação de princípios constitucionais em prol de um regime de suspeição?Publication . Rodrigues, Ana Rita Gaspar; Alves, Rogério Paulo CastanhoThe aim of this dissertation is to reflect on what has been the way forward in the fight against corruption, at national level, through Law no. 5/2002, of 11 January, on Combating Organised Crime. Far from being a consensual topic, the aim of this study is to encourage discussion and the confrontation of ideas on a subject that over the years has come to occupy its place in the social sphere. As it is a subject that deserves its own context and due explanation, we will begin our study with a brief contextualisation of the regime and the assumptions for its application. This will be followed by a technical analysis of the concept of "presumption" and the extent to which the reversal of the burden of proof is an exception and complication under the law in question. Subsequently, we will move on to the substance of this study, which will focus on confronting the legislative formulation per se, the TC's position on the free assessment of evidence and the right to a fair trial. We will draw the appropriate and final conclusions.
- Mechanistic insights into bio-based fertilisers, biostimulants, and novel delivery systems in plant physiologyPublication . Santos, Jacinta; Silva, Marta Nunes da; Santos, Carla S.The transition toward sustainable agriculture requires fertilisation strategies that improve nutrient use efficiency, enhance resilience to abiotic and biotic stress, and minimise environmental impacts. Bio-based fertilisers, biostimulants, and novel delivery systems have emerged as promising alternatives or complements to conventional agrochemicals, yet their physiological bases remain only partially understood. This review examines current knowledge on the mechanistic pathways through which these products act and identifies research gaps to enable predictive use in diverse cropping systems. Evidence indicates that bio-based inputs influence plant performance by modulating nutrient uptake and assimilation, hormonal and redox signalling, stress perception and defence priming, and biomass allocation. Protein hydrolysates, humic substances, and seaweed extracts alter root morphology, ion transport, and stress signalling, while microbial inoculants such as rhizobia, phosphate-solubilising bacteria, and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi provide nutrient mobilisation and immune priming. Novel delivery systems, including clays and encapsulation systems, extend these effects by improving the stability and targeted release of bioactive compounds. Despite these advances, the lack of standardised protocols, incomplete dose-response characterisation, and strong context dependence of plant responses remain major obstacles to reproducibility and scalability. Progress in this field requires a mechanistically anchored approach that links molecular events (such as transporter activation, hormone dynamics, and antioxidant activity) to agronomic outcomes under variable environments. Embedding mechanistic descriptors into both experimental design and regulatory frameworks could accelerate the translation of bio-based inputs into reliable tools for sustainable crop production, supported by environmental impact assessments.
- Criação do tempo : contribuições da física e da teologia na obra de Antje JackelénPublication . Nogueira, António Francisco Ferreira da Silva de Sá; Martins, AntónioThis dissertation in Theology proposes an interdisciplinary reflection on the concept of Time, developed through dialogue between theology and the natural sciences, with particular focus to the work of Antje Jackelén. After analyzing the plurality of the meanings of Time in Physics, Philosophy and Theology, the study explores the relationship between Time and Eternity, culminating in a theological proposal concerning the creation of Time. Drawing on categories such as relationality, finitude and eschatology, it argues that Time is not merely a condition of Creation, but a place of revelation and encounter with God. The central claim asserts that Christian faith can only understand the Creator God of the Covenant as the One who truly assumes Time — to the point of being affected by history and pledged to a relationship with creation, with its apex in Jesus Christ. This theological horizon challenges classical models of divine impassibility and reinforces the coherence between protology, Incarnation, history and eschatology.
- As impressões 3D e o seu impacto na indústria da moda : passadeira vermelha para a contrafação?Publication . Luz, Milene Costa Gonçalves Félix; Rendas, Tito Filipe BugiaThree-dimensional ("3D") printing has established itself as a revolutionary technology, transforming production processes and consumption patterns themselves, impacting the fashion industry. This technology makes it possible to create garments and accessories directly from digital models, either through design models or the 3D digitization of physical objects. However, at the same time as the production process becomes more accessible and the personalization of objects on a large scale is encouraged, 3D printing faces some challenges in the Copyright and Industrial Property. Fashion, as an industry historically vulnerable to counterfeiting, faces increased risks with the spread of this technology, since the unauthorized reproduction of designs and the digital distribution of printable files may become even more accessible and difficult to control. Against this backdrop, this dissertation aims to analyze the impact of 3D printing on the fashion industry, assessing not only the legal challenges associated with Intellectual Property, but also possible measures that could be adopted - with a view to mitigating the risks of infringement, ensuring a balance between innovation and the protection of creators' rights.
