- A comunicação no relacionamento profissional : o caso líder e lideradoPublication . Assim, o líder deve saber dominar a comunicação verbal e não-verbal, pois ambas contribuem para o fortalecimento e credibilidade do líder.
- Badoca Safari Park : a proposition on how to efficiently target the young segmentPublication . Almeida, Francisca Moser Simões de; Souto, Daniela Langaro da Silva doBadoca Safari Park is an Animal Theme Park, which provides the opportunity to spend a day in contact with nature and different animal species. The Safari Park, pioneer in Portugal, achieved successful performances during the first years of activity. However, annual attendance has been declining over the last years across all age groups. The current study focuses on the 15-24 years old target, who are of strategic relevance, given the Park’s poor performance in retaining the young sement as they grow older. The main objective of the dissertation is to suggest how to efficiently communicate with the age group in order to increase their retention. Given the relevance of the online media channels within the target, the study focuses on digital marketing strategies. The methodology comprised the development of interviews and an online questionnaire. It was found that although Badoca occupies a prominent place in the consumer’s minds, their perceptions are not necessarily aligned with the Park’s desired positioning. Nevertheless, the Park benefits from many positive perceived points-of-difference when compared to competitors, which may be used in future marketing communications. It was also found that within the 15-24 years old target, there are two distinct segments to be targeted in future marketing initiatives. Lastly, the Park is not taking full advantage of the online media channels for marketing purposes. Hence, improving the landing page of the website, launching a mobile application, practicing e-mail marketing, and communicate through social networks websites are recommendations included in the end of the study.

- Employee voice : the roles of organizational identification, informational justice and power distancePublication . Makens, Marc Anthony; Patient, DavidPartnering with a non-profit organization located in the United States of America, we investigate the effect of organizational identification and information justice on employee voice intentions. In order to provide depth to our study we will investigate the moderation effect of power distance on these two variables and their relationship to employee voice intentions. Findings indicate that organizational identification and information justice positively relate to employee voice intentions, however we did not find that power distance had a significant moderation effect. We conclude that organizational identification and informational justice are antecedents of employee voice behaviors and discuss limitations of the study.

- The timorese indigenous beliefs and the christian faith : a parallelism in the perspectives of worship and communionPublication . Gomes, José Câncio da Costa; Angélico, José Pedro LopesUnderstanding Parallelism between the Timorese Indigenous Beliefs and the Christian Faith is Essential in Evangelization and Catechesis for Greater Conversion and Transformation. The thesis aims to present the parallel perspectives in the act of worship and in the idea of communion together with a critical analysis about the reality studied. The results of our study, by observing, analyzing and comparing, revealed that certain elements of the religious indigenous practices and the meanings of their major religious-cultural symbols are parallel with those of the Christian faith. This should serve as a foundation for the dialogue between the Church and the local culture. In the critical analysis we also identified some obstacles that had slowed down the process of Christianization in Timor-Leste.
- HBD-STP : creating sustainable value for the critical stakeholdersPublication . Pissarra, João Guilherme Costa de Faria de Andrade; Ramus, TommasoThis thesis presents a stakeholder management discussion from a specific company operating in an underdeveloped country (São Tomé and Príncipe). The company – HBD-STP – is investing in an ecotourism project and, thanks to its inspirational founder (Mark Shuttleworth), it is highly committed with the sustainable development of the Príncipe region. Starting by questioning “Which strategies should be adopted by HBD-STP to create sustainable value for its critical stakeholders?”, my research aims to identify the company’s critical stakeholders and the strategies that could be adopted to create sustainable value for them. My analysis presents a stakeholder management process, that enables the managers to identify and to map each of the stakeholders and to define adequate strategies for them, based on the stakeholders’ claims and contributions. Regarding the HBD-STP case, these strategies are oriented to create sustainable value for the critical stakeholders: Customers, Government, Community, Owners, and Staff.
- The use of blogs as a marketing tool in the fashion industryPublication . Freire, Mariana Vilhena Loução Vicente; Souto, Daniela Langaro da Silva doOn the basis of human relations prevails the communication. With the constant evolution of technology, communication reached different dimensions and was extended to multiple platforms such as Web 2.0. Beyond the traditional word-of-mouth communications, nowadays we are facing an enormous affluence and influence of the electronic word-ofmouth. Within the electronic word-of-mouth, in this dissertation the main focus leans on fashion blogs as an important communication tool within social media, with its relevance being justified by the evolution and promising relationship between message sender and message receiver. More specifically, the current study evaluates the commercial value that fashion blogs potentially generate for the brands. Additionally, it is discussed the type of influence and credibility acknowledged by readers with regard to the blogs that they follow. This dissertation includes a literature review chapter that emphasizes theoretical facts already stated about the subject. Additionally, and in order to obtain relevant and conclusive information, was developed a consumer research data collection. The results show that the Portuguese population is not frequently involved with fashion blogs. However, for those who do, there is a strong tendency to give credibility to fashion bloggers, feel influenced in relation to publications and as a consequence, to purchase fashion items that were advertised on blogs.
