Abstract(s)
Os avanços tecnológicos e o aumento da competitividade conferiram à ciência de dados um papel basilar nas organizações. O adequado armazenamento de dados e a sua subsequente análise permitem assim a obtenção de informações valiosas e de conhecimento, impactantes nas estratégias organizativas. O presente trabalho de investigação foi proposto pela Amorim Cork S.A. no contexto de um estágio curricular. Pretende apoiar o Departamento de Recursos Humanos nos processos de tomada de decisão, através da definição de indicadores de desempenho e da sua implementação automatizada e simplificada. Foram assim construídos quatro dashboards com recurso à ferramenta Power BI, e contemplativos de indicadores-chave de desempenho de Recursos Humanos. No final do projeto foi aferido o grau de aceitação do novo modelo de apresentação de dados, através de um inquérito disponibilizado aos utilizadores finais. O presente trabalho visou ainda o desenvolvimento de modelos preditivos com vista a uma melhor gestão da retenção de talento na organização. Os modelos preditivos foram desenvolvidos com recurso ao Software R. Para a sua consecução foi adotada uma metodologia quantitativa através da aplicação de ferramentas analíticas.
Constant technological advances and increased competitiveness among organizations have brought data science to the spotlight. Storing and dissecting data plays a central role on organizational strategies, through the gathering of valuable insights and subsequent creation of a knowledge base. The present essay is the result of a curricular internship carried out at Amorim Cork S.A., and the research behind it aims to bolster the Human Resources Department decision-making, through the definition of performance indicators and their automated and simplified implementation. Four dashboards were built using Power BI, taking into consideration key performance indicators for Human Resources, alongside two forecasting models using R Software. The predictive models revolve around talent retention within the organization. A quantitative methodology was adopted throughout the application of analytical tools. At the end of the project, the acceptance of the new data presentation model was evaluated through a survey made available to end-users.
