Abstract(s)
This essay, published by Mário Pinto, is a thorough and well-founded critique of the current monopoly of the school network practiced in Portugal [...], represents a remarkable argumentative effort in favor of the freedoms to learn and teach, as derived from the wording of the 1976 Constitution. It convincingly highlights the existence of a widespread pre-understanding against private education, allegedly seen as a privilege [...] It also dismantles, with a large copy of reasons, the dominant ideology in favor of the necessary superiority of the public school.
