Abstract(s)
A fronteira que separa a informação e o entretenimento, ambos géneros jornalísticos,
apresenta-se cada vez mais ténue sobretudo na cobertura de grandes temáticas como a
política ou o desporto. O caso em estudo é as Eleições Autárquicas de 2017 que mereceu,
por parte dos meios de comunicação, uma cobertura constante tanto aos partidos políticos
como aos candidatos. Neste contexto, a presente investigação pretende, através da análise de
conteúdo de dois jornais nacionais, Correio da Manhã e Público, perceber se existiu, e em
que moldes, uma fusão destes géneros (infotainment) na cobertura jornalística feita aos
candidatos às eleições suprarreferidas.
The boundary between information and entertainment, both jounalistic genres, is becoming increasingly blurred, especially in the coverage of major themes such as politics or sports. The case in point is the 2017 Local Elections which deserved constant media coverage from both political parties and candidates. In this contexto, the presente investigation intends, through the contente analysis of two national newspapers, Correio da Manhã and Público, to understand of there existed, and in what way, a sufion of these genres (infotainment) in the jounalistic coverage to the candidates to the above mentioned elections
