Fundação de colégios jesuítas em Portugal: o caso do colégio de Gouveia

Abstract

Depois de apresentar uma breve contextualização e uma síntese cronológica do estabelecimento de colégios da Companhia de Jesus em Portugal, este estudo propõe-se abordar a instituição do colégio de Gouveia, o último a ser ereto na antiga província portuguesa, referindo as contradições que os seus fundadores sofreram até que se iniciasse a sua construção.

After presenting a brief contextualization and a chronological synthesis of the establishment of the Jesuit Colleges in Portugal, this study approaches the institution of the Gouveia College, the last being created in the old Portuguese Province, referring to the setbacks that its founders were confronted with until the beginning of its construction.
