Conhecimento dos profissionais de saúde sobre as diretivas antecipadas de vontade

| dc.description.abstract | Introdução: Cada pessoa é livre para decidir sobre os cuidados que deseja ou não receber, contudo quando não consegue manifestar essa vontade, pode recorrer a instruções dadas anteriormente, designadas por Diretivas Antecipadas de Vontade. Objetivo: Avaliar o conhecimento dos profissionais de saúde sobre as Diretivas Antecipadas de Vontade. Materiais e Métodos: Estudo descritivo, observacional e transversal com uma abordagem quantitativa. Não haverá amostragem. A amostra coincidirá com a população (profissionais de saúde que trabalham em Portugal inscritos na Ordem dos Enfermeiros, Médicos e Psicólogos Portugueses ou Associação dos Profissionais de Serviço Social) que aceitar responder ao questionário que será difundido por via eletrónica por parte das Ordens/Associações Profissionais. Resultados: A maioria da nossa amostra é do sexo feminino, enfermeiros e licenciatura como formação académica. Na generalidade os participantes possuem conhecimento adequado sobre aspetos legais, definição, documentos necessários e aplicação das Diretivas Antecipadas de Vontade. Conclusão: Constatou-se um conhecimento generalizado sobre as Diretivas Antecipadas de Vontade, mas ainda se observa reduzido conhecimento sobre: alguns pontos da Lei nº 25/2012 de 16 de julho nomeadamente o conceito de “limitação do esforço terapêutico”; o local onde são inscritas as Diretivas Antecipadas de Vontade e quem a elas pode aceder. Será importante de futuro investir no conhecimento dos profissionais de saúde. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Introduction: Each person is free to decide on the care they want or not to receive. however, when the patient cannot express his or her manifest this will, he or she may resort to instructions given previously called Advance Directives. Aim: To analyze the knowledge of healthcare professionals regarding the Advance Directives. Materials and Methods: Descriptive, observational and cross-sectional study with a quantitative. There will be no sampling. The sample will coincide with the population (health professionals working in Portugal registered with the Portuguese Nurses, Doctors and Psychologists Order or Associations of Social Work Professionals) that accepts to answer the questionnaire that will be disseminated electronically by the Professional Orders/ Associations. Results: Most of our sample are female, registered nurses, and graduates. In general, participants have adequate knowledge of the definition, legal aspects documents required, and application of the Advance Directives. Conclusion: There was a general knowledge about the Advance Directives, there is little knowledge about Law No. 25/2012 of July 16, namely the term “therapeutic effort limitation” and the place where are registered the Advance Directives and who can access them. It will be important in the future to invest in the knowledge of health professionals. | pt_PT |
