Henry St. George Tucker (1771–1851), autor inglês da época romântica, escreveu uma tragédia com o título Camoens e ver-se-á que o tema da peça, embora de carácter romântico, não é ditada por um sentimento de escola nem, no limite, tem a ver com o poeta Camões.
