Este estudo tem como principal objetivo conhecer os aspetos positivos e negativos apontados por 111 formandos relativamente aos Cursos Intensivos Touchpoints (CIT), bem como entender a antecipação dos desafios da implementação desta abordagem na prática profissional de cada um. Os 111 participantes neste estudo realizaram a formação no Modelo Touchpoints em Portugal online, entre o ano de 2020 e 2023. A metodologia utilizada foi de cariz qualitativo, sendo que os dados foram recolhidos através de questionários usados habitualmente nos CIT. Adiantamos que os principais resultados indicam, como aspeto positivo, a relevância, para os formandos, da reflexão conjunta efetuada ao longo dos CIT. Por outro lado, como aspetos negativos, foram destacadas a necessidade de serem abordados mais Touchpoints ao longo da formação, bem como a pertinência de existirem mais vídeos de contacto com a prática, tendo ficado realçada, também, a preferência de alguns formandos de se regressar à modalidade presencial dos CIT, considerando que a partilha entre todos os participantes seria mais enriquecedora se feita no mesmo espaço. Relativamente aos desafios, os formandos antecipam dificuldades na operacionalização dos conceitos (o aspeto mais destacado). O desconhecimento por parte dos seus pares quanto ao modelo de base da formação – a abordagem Touchpoints – e o objetivo de este ser fundamentado na sinergia entre profissionais, pais e crianças, bem como perspetivas diferenciadas quanto às possíveis intervenções no desenvolvimento de um bebé e/ou criança também constam como desafios. Tratando-se de um estudo pioneiro, espera-se que possa auxiliar a Fundação Brazelton/Gomes-Pedro (FBGP) quanto à dinamização dos futuros CIT e que possa funcionar como ponto de partida para futuras investigações.
The main objective of this study is to know the positive and negative aspects pointed out by 111 trainees regarding the Touchpoints Intensive Courses (CIT), as well as to understand the anticipation of the challenges of implementing this approach in the professional practice of each one. The 111 participants in this study completed training on the Touchpoints Model in Portugal online, between 2020 and 2023. The methodology used was of a qualitative nature, and data were collected through questionnaires commonly used at the end of the CIT. We advance that the main results indicate, as a positive aspect, the relevance, for the trainees, of the joint reflection carried out throughout the CIT. On the other hand, as negative aspects, the need to address more Touchpoints throughout the training was highlighted, as well as the relevance of having more videos of contact with the practice, with emphasis also being placed on the preference of some trainees to return to the face-to-face modality of the CIT, considering that the sharing between all the participants would be more enriching if done in the same space. Regarding the challenges, the trainees anticipate difficulties in operationalizing the concepts (the most highlighted aspect). The lack of knowledge on the part of their peers regarding the basic training model – the Touchpoints approach – and the objective of this being based on the synergy between professionals, parents and children, as well as different perspectives regarding possible interventions in the development of a baby and/or or child are also included as challenges. Since this is a pioneering study, it is hoped that it can help the Brazelton/Gomes-Pedro Foundation (FBGP) in terms of promoting future CIT and that it can function as a starting point for future investigations.
