Abstract(s)
Este trabalho, incidindo sobre a Unidade Letiva - “Deus, o grande Mistério”, expõe uma análise acerca da visão que os jovens/ alunos têm sobre Deus e de forma esta unidade letiva, a segunda do programa de Educação Moral e Religiosa Católica do 9ºano, pode contribuir para a formação e construção dessa visão aos olhos do aluno madeirense.
A interrogação sobre Deus e Sua existência é uma questão que ocupa a mente humana. Quem é Deus? Como se revela ao mundo? Como atua? Como o sinto? O porquê de acreditar em Deus? Que efeitos e benefícios traz para a minha vida? Como a família, a cultura e tradições, me influencia? Que decisão tomar acerca da religião? São apenas algumas das perguntas que surgem na cabeça dos jovens atualmente.
Num mundo completamente secularizado, global, com acesso no imediato a todo o tipo de informação, o aluno encontra-se mergulhado numa agitação nem sempre percetível, mas existente e perigosa. Num mundo de consumismo, em que se apresenta uma ampla variedade de criações do transcendente, falar aos jovens sobre um Deus único, salvador, eternamente bom, com capacidade infinita de perdão, que se relacionou com o Homem, mas nunca “se mostrou” (Deus invisível), é um enorme desafio, uma missão difícil, que requer imaginação e persistência.
Deste modo no presente relatório pretendo mostrar que os jovens/alunos do século XXI, não conseguem pensar em Deus, enquanto Ser individual, único e muito menos enquanto o Ser invisível do Antigo Testamento, mas sim o Pai sempre apresentado por Jesus Cristo. É através de Cristo que se consegue levar Deus aos jovens e é através de Cristo que se consegue levar os jovens até Deus.
Apesar da minha experiência na PES, a minha reflexão terá o seu centro na realidade madeirense, na medida em que é nessa realidade que leciono há 16 anos.
Com base nessa análise é apresentada uma proposta pedagógica de reformulação do programa e planificação da Unidade Letiva 2 do programa do 9º ano.
This work, focused on Unit – ‘God, the Great Mystery’, exposes an analysis oh the vision young people/students have of God and the way Unit 2 of the syllabus can contribute to the making of this vision in the eyes of the Madeira student. Questioning God and His existence is a basic Human concern. Who is God? How does He reveal Himself to the world? How does he act? How I feel Him? Why believe in His existence? What implications and benefits does He bring to our lives? How does family, the culture and traditions influence us? What decisions should we make concerning religion? These are but a few questions young people have to deal with nowadays. In a fully global and secular world, with immediate access to all sorts of information, the student is immersed in a world of restlessness not always perceptible, but existent and dangerous. In a world of consumerism, in which a broad variety of creations of the transcendent is presented, talking to youngsters about one only God, our Saviour, eternally good, with the gift of infinite mercy, who related to Man but “never revealed Himself to him” (an invisible God), is in fact a great challenge, a complicated mission which requires some imagination and persistence. Therefore, in this current report, I intend to show that 21st Century teenagers/students are not able to think of God as an Individual Almighty Being, let alone as the Invisible Being from the Old Testament, but as the Father always presented by Jesus Christ. It is through Christ that we may lead God to the young and it is through Christ that we may lead the young to God. Despite my experience in PES, I will focus on the reality of Madeira, as it is this reality that I have been teaching for 16 years. Based on this analysis, I hereby present a pedagogic proposal for program reformulation and planning to Unit 2 of the 9th Form syllabus.
