The present study aims to examine the relationship between initial symptomatology and substance use and the therapeutic progress observed throughout the intervention process of children and adolescents living in psychosocial vulnerability, using systematic monitoring indicators. The study included 193 children and young people aged between 6 and 18 years, receiving psychological support in a specialized public service focused on the prevention of risk behaviours and addictions. A protocol composed of the ASEBA system instruments, the Brief Problem Monitor, and the ASSIST was administered throughout the therapeutic process. The main findings show that children and adolescents present elevated levels of emotional and behavioural difficulties, with greater expression in the internalizing and total problems dimensions. Alcohol, tobacco, and cannabis are the substances with the highest prevalence of use among young people. The absence of attrition bias reinforces the representativeness of the data collected over the course of the intervention. The analysis of the Reliable Change Index revealed heterogeneous individual trajectories, with a predominance of clinical stability across assessment points. These results highlight the importance of clinical practices supported by systematic and multi-informant monitoring in contexts of psychosocial vulnerability, while underscoring the need for further studies to deepen the understanding of the 8actos that shape therapeutic outcomes in this population.
