Abstract(s)
A Dissertação de Mestrado que se apresenta, subordinada ao tema O género Lied e a
importância da sua integração no Ensino do Canto, tem como princípios orientadores a
compreensão da forma como se deverá estabelecer uma melhor integração do género Lied no
ensino e na aprendizagem do Canto.
Embora este género musical já se encontre mencionado nos currículos, este estudo pretende dar
a conhecer as razões que motivam esta integração e os benefícios que daí advêm para o
desenvolvimento de maiores e melhores competências no ensino-aprendizagem do Canto.
Apresentada nos contextos de um Quadro Teórico-Conceptual e de uma Metodologia Empírica,
de análise qualitativa, pretende-se refletir sobre o Estado da Arte, onde autores de referência, tais
como: Reverter (1985); Gorrell (1993); Miller (1996; 2011); Alier (2000); Fallows (2001);
Jander (2001); Owen (2001); Sams (2001); Serra (2001); Sarhan (2004); Platzer (2006); Moore
(2008), entre outros, fundamentam este estudo.
A Metodologia Empírica é sustentada pelo modelo de investigação científica denominado
Estudo de Caso.
A Amostra deste estudo foi constituída por um grupo de quatro professores, influentes no mundo
do Canto, todos eles professores de conservatórios e escolas de música, nacionais e
internacionais. A entrevista semiestruturada e o questionário foram os instrumentos de recolha
de dados utilizados. Através de uma criteriosa análise de conteúdo (Bardin, 1997) foi possível
percebermos que todos os entrevistados consideram o Lied como um género musical
indispensável na formação do Cantor.
Como conclusão final, podemos afirmar que Cantar e estudar Lied, tendo em conta o seu
caracter musical, espiritual e sentimental, bem como as dificuldades técnicas que lhe são
inerentes, poderá fazer despoletar sensibilidades e formas de expressividade capazes de elevar o
nível cultural e artístico dos alunos.
Com este estudo julgamos ter contribuído para uma melhor perceção das interações que se
estabelecem do ponto de vista metodológico, no âmbito de uma pedagogia de ensino do Canto
The Master’s thesis now presented, on the theme - The Lied - the musical genre and the importance of its integration in the teaching of Singing - has as guiding principle the understanding of the best way to establish the integration of this musical genre in the teaching and learning of Singing. Even though this musical genre is already mentioned in the curricula, this study aims to emphasise the reasons that motivate its integration and to raise awareness of the benefits brought to the development of bigger and better skills in the teaching/learning process of Singing. Within the contexts of a theoretical-conceptual framework and an empirical methodology of qualitative analysis, the aim is to think over the State of Art and find support for this study in reference authors, such as (among others): Reverter (1985); Gorrell (1993); Miller (1996; 2011); Alier (2000); Fallows (2001); Jander (2001); Owen (2001); Sams (2001); Serra (2001); Sarhan (2004); Platzer (2006); Moore (2008). The Empirical Methodology is supported by the model of scientific investigation called case study. The sampling method included a group of four teachers, prestigious in the world of Singing, all of them teaching in music schools and academies in the country and abroad. The collection of data included the semi structured interview and the questionnaire. Through an accurate content analysis (Bardin, 1997) it was possible to realise that all of the interviewees consider that the Lied is an essential musical genre in the training of a Singer. To conclude, we can state that singing and learning Lied, having in mind its musical, spiritual and sentimental character together with its technical difficulties may trigger sensitivities and expressiveness that will boost the cultural and the artistic level of the students. With this study we feel that we have contributed for a better perception of the interactions that are established, from a methodological point of view, in the field of the pedagogy of the teaching of Singing.
