Este estudo teve como principal objetivo analisar as perceções de pais/encarregados de educação sobre a intervenção desenvolvida pela Associação Bagos D’Ouro. Nele participaram 18 pais/encarregados de educação (entre os 34 e 56 anos) de jovens que frequentavam o 3º ciclo e secundário, residentes em quatro concelhos abrangidos pela
Associação Bagos D’Ouro. Recorrendo a uma metodologia mista recolheu-se informação relativamente às perceções que os pais/encarregados de educação têm relativamente aos contributos da Associação Bagos D’Ouro, nomeadamente aos diferentes tipos de apoio prestados pela instituição, ao envolvimento escolar, aos resultados escolares, às aspirações educacionais, ao envolvimento parental e à Associação Bagos D’Ouro em geral. Os resultados sugerem que a Associação Bagos D’Ouro, segundo a opinião dos pais/encarregados de educação, tem vindo a desenvolver uma intervenção com impacto sobretudo no que diz respeito ao envolvimento escolar e aos resultados escolares dos filhos e às suas aspirações educacionais.
The main objective of this study was to analyze the perceptions of parents or guardians about the intervention developed by the Bagos D'Ouro Association. The study consisted of 18 parents/guardians (between the ages of 34 and 56) of young people who attended secondary school and resided in the four counties covered by the Bagos D'Ouro Association. The study used a mixed methodology in order to gather information on the parents/guardians perception regarding the various contributions of the Bagos D'Ouro Association. In particular the different types of support provided by the institution. These include; school involvement, school results, educational aspirations, parental involvement and the support of the Bagos D'Ouro Association as a whole. The results suggest that according to the opinion of the parents/guardians, the Bagos D'Ouro Association has developed an intervention that has had a positive impact, especially in their children’s school involvement, school results and their educational aspirations
