Abstract(s)
O presente relatório reflecte o culminar do estágio, inserido no Curso de Mestrado em
Enfermagem, de Natureza Profissional, na Área de Especialização em Enfermagem Médico-
Cirúrgica, da Universidade Católica Portuguesa / Instituto de Ciências da Saúde (UCP/ICS). É
através dele que descrevo e reflicto o percurso realizado no desenvolvimento de competências
necessárias ao perfil do enfermeiro especialista em enfermagem médico-cirúrgica.
O estágio foi realizado em três realidades distintas: Serviço de Urgência Central, do Hospital de
Santa Maria; Unidade de Cuidados Intensivos Cirúrgicos Especiais, do Hospital Professor
Doutor Fernando Fonseca, EPE; e Bloco Operatório Central e Unidade de Cirurgia
Ambulatória, do Hospital CUF Descobertas. Para a ilustração de cada módulo, foi usada uma
metodologia descritiva, reflexiva e crítica das actividades desenvolvidas, tendo em conta os
objectivos delineados.
Neste percurso, os cuidados de enfermagem ao doente com traumatismo abdominal assumiu
particular atenção, contudo, outras áreas foram trabalhadas, promovendo, igualmente, a
prestação de cuidados de enfermagem seguros, entre elas: prevenção e controlo de infecções
associadas aos cuidados de saúde, hipodermoclise em doentes em fim de vida, funções do
enfermeiro na UCPA, auditoria da qualidade dos cuidados de enfermagem em UCPA e
comunicação aumentativa e alternativa com a pessoa em situação de disfunção comunicativa.
O trabalho desenvolvido no decurso deste estágio contribuiu, de forma inequívoca, para o meu
enriquecimento pessoal e profissional, permitindo o desenvolvimento de competências de
enfermeiro especialista em enfermagem médico-cirúrgica.
This report reflects the terminus of the probationary period, included in the Master Degree in Professional Nature Nursing in the Area of Specialization in Medical-Surgical Nursing in the Portuguese Catholic University / Institute of Health Sciences (UCP / ICS). It is hereby that I describe and reflect the work that I have carried out in the development of the skills demanded in the profile of the specialist nurse in medical-surgical nursing. The probationary period was developed in three distinctive realities: Central Emergency Service, in Hospital de Santa Maria, Special Surgical Intensive Care Unit, in Hospital Professor Doutor Fernando Fonseca, EPE and Central Operating Room and Central Ambulatory Surgery Unit, in Hospital CUF Descobertas. To illustrate each module more clearly, it has been used a descriptive, reflexive and critical methodology of all the activities undertaken, considering the goals defined. In this path, the nursing care towards the patient with abdominal trauma has acquired special attention. However, other areas have been equally worked and which intended to promote safe nursing care, among which, the prevention and control of the infections associated to health care, hypodermoclysis in end-stage patients, of the nurse responsibility, auditing of the quality of the care provided in UCPA and augmentative and alternative communication to people who suffer from communicative dysfunction. The work developed throughout the probationary period has unequivocal and fully contributed to my personal and professional enrichment, allowing the development of the skills necessary to the specialist nurse in Medical-Surgical Nursing
