Abstract(s)
O presente relatório é um instrumento de avaliação da Unidade Curricular – Estágio Final e Relatório do 12º Curso de Mestrado em Enfermagem com Especialização em Enfermagem Médico – Cirúrgica do Instituto de Ciências da Saúde da Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Centro Regional do Porto. Traduz todo o processo de aquisição e desenvolvimento de conhecimentos e competências para a prestação de cuidados especializados à pessoa em situação crítica em dois contextos de estágio, nomeadamente no Serviço de Urgência e no Serviço de Cuidados Intensivos de dois hospitais do grande Porto, com a duração de 750 horas de trabalho e decorreu entre 10 de setembro de 2019 e 4 de janeiro de 2020. No desenvolvimento de competências de Mestre e Especialista, fez-se a avaliação das necessidades de ambos os locais de estágio, e a identificação de problemas que foram analisados para, posteriormente, sugerir-se propostas de melhoria. No contexto de Serviço de Urgência, fez-se uma Revisão Integrativa que já foi revista e aprovada para publicação na revista Cadernos de Saúde. O referido artigo centra-se na necessidade de identificação de fatores que influenciam a qualidade dos cuidados e, consequentemente, podem resultar em erros e danos para o doente, sugerindo-se propostas de melhoria, aumentando assim a qualidade dos cuidados prestados. Relativamente ao Serviço de Cuidados Intensivos, elaborou-se um Projeto de Intervenção que visa o acompanhamento cuidado do doente crítico após a alta deste serviço. A importância de reduzir a taxa da Síndrome Pós-Cuidados Intensivos, levou a que houvesse a necessidade de propor estratégias para a redução da mesma, como a sugestão da elaboração do diário do doente. O tema escolhido “O Contributo da Formação para a Melhoria Contínua da Qualidade dos Cuidados” é retratado ao longo deste relatório referindo-se à importância da formação para a melhoria contínua da qualidade dos cuidados prestados aos doentes em situação crítica e família. Todo o percurso de aprendizagem foi exposto com a utilização de metodologia descritiva e reflexiva como forma de exprimir todas as situações vivenciadas ao longo de cada contexto. São descritas as várias atividades executadas assim, como se efetuou uma reflexão sobre a aprendizagem, evidenciando as competências adquiridas para o grau de Mestre e Especialista em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica, nomeadamente competências de pesquisa e investigação, comunicação de resultados, controlo de infeção, melhoria da qualidade e gestão de recursos, baseando a prática na evidência. Este percurso académico foi de extrema importância para alcançar os objetivos definidos ao desenvolver competências para a obtenção do grau de Mestre em Enfermagem e Especialista em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica, constituindo uma mais-valia para o meu futuro profissional. nomeadamente o convite para a participação num projeto de investigação científica
This report is an assessment tool for the Curricular Unit – Estágio Final e Relatório of the 12th Masters Course in Nursing with Specialization in Medical - Surgical Nursing at the Instituto de Ciências da Saúde of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Porto Regional Centre. It translates the entire process of acquiring and developing knowledge and skills to provide specialized care for people in critical situations in two internship contexts, namely in an Emergency Service and in an Intensive Care Unit from two hospitals in Porto, with a duration of 750 hours of work, taking place between September 10, 2019 and January 4, 2020. For the development of the skills of Master and Specialist Nurse, the needs of both internship locations were assessed, their problems were identified and then analysed in order to suggest later improvements. In the Emergency Service, an Integrative Review was made, which is already reviewed and will be published in the Nursing Journal Cadernos de Saúde. This article focuses on the need to identify factors that influence the quality of care and, consequently, can result in errors and damage for the patient. It was suggested proposals for improvement, thus increasing the quality of care provided to patients. Regarding the Intensive Care Unit, an Intervention Project was designed to monitor the care of critically ill patients after discharge. The importance of reducing the rate of Post-Intensive Care Syndrome led to the proposal of strategies for reduce it, like the suggesting of the development of the patient's diary. The chosen theme, “The Contribution of Training for Continuous Improvement of Quality of Care”, is portrayed throughout this report, referring the importance of training for continuous improvement of quality care provided to critically ill patients and their families. The entire learning path is exposed using descriptive and reflective methodology as a way of expressing all the situations experienced throughout each context. The activities carried out are described and a reflection on learning is carried out as well, showing the skills acquired for the degree of Master and Specialist in Medical-Surgical Nursing, such as research and investigation skills, results communication, infection control, quality improvement and resource management, basing practice on evidence. This academic path was of extreme importance to achieve the defined goals, developing skills for the obtainment of the degree of Master and Specialist in Medical-Surgical Nursing, being an asset for my professional future, namely the invitation to participate in a project of scientific investigation.
