Os cuidados de enfermagem à pessoa em situação crítica e a sua família, são o foco central deste percurso de desenvolvimento de competências. Neste sentido, foram realizados dois estágios, com propósito de adquirir e consolidar competências de enfermeiro especialista na área da pessoa em situação crítica, em emergência extra-hospitalar e em cuidados intensivos, realizando-se a exposição e a análise crítica das atividades desenvolvidas no decorrer deste percurso. Um dos principais objetivos do estágio em cuidados intensivos, foi o cuidado à pessoa em situação crítica com síndrome de dificuldade respiratória aguda sob ventilação mecânica invasiva em posição prone. Com a finalidade de mapear a extensão e a tipologia de evidência científica existente em relação a este tema, foi realizada uma scoping review, para identificar os cuidados de enfermagem inerentes a este posicionamento diferenciado. Atendendo aos resultados obtidos, pode-se referenciar que, o posicionamento da pessoa em situação crítica em prone, também denominado decúbito ventral, tem um impacto direto no seu outcome. Assim sendo, é primordial que o enfermeiro possua conhecimentos e competências, para antecipar possíveis complicações e resolução das mesmas. Esta revisão, apresenta os cuidados de enfermagem mais sensíveis a esta técnica de posicionamento de extrema complexidade. Considero que os resultados deste estudo, poderão ser um auxílio para os enfermeiros que cuidam destes doentes, requerendo cuidados de enfermagem diferenciados.

One of the main objectives of the intensive care internship was the care of a critically ill person with acute respiratory distress syndrome under invasive mechanical ventilation in a prone position. In order to map the extent and type of existing scientific evidence in relation to this topic, a scoping review was carried out in order to identify the nursing care inherent to this differentiated position. Given the results obtained, it can be noted that the positioning of the person in a critical situation in prone, also called prone, has a direct impact on the outcome of the person in the critical situation. Therefore, it is essential that nurses have knowledge and skills to anticipate possible complications and their resolution. This review reveals the most sensitive nursing care to this extremely complex positioning technique.
