Abstract(s)
O desenvolvimento sustentável do turismo tornou-se nos dias de hoje uma
prioridade da Organização Mundial do Turismo (UNWTO) e um desafio
para a maioria dos destinos a nível mundial, sobretudo numa altura em que
o crescimento do Turismo tem estado a ser repensado.
A Guiné-Bissau não pode ficar para trás neste grande desafio mundial, que
passa pela preservação ambiental e pelo compromisso com uma coesão
económica territorial dos destinos e a valorização das suas comunidades.
Para isto, são necessários novos modelos de gestão, alicerçados nos
princípios da sustentabilidade que implicam preocupações ambientais,
sociais e económicas.
O presente estudo recorreu a um conjunto de fontes secundárias que
permitiram caracterizar a Guiné-Bissau enquanto destino turístico e
desenvolveu um exercício de auscultação junto dos guineenses sobre a
perceção da Guiné-Bissau enquanto destino sustentável, são no total 69
respondentes ao questionário. Os dados recolhidos permitiram elaborar
uma matriz SWOT à Guiné-Bissau e apresentar um conjunto de
recomendações e ações para desenvolver da Guiné-Bissau com vista a uma
gestão sustentável do destino.
Nesta dissertação o autor espera concretizar o seu o sonho, que é de poder
dar um contributo para um turismo responsável e sustentável na
Guiné-Bissau, o país que viu o autor nascer. É importante criar campanhas
de promoção do potencial turístico da GB, uma campanha muito
importante é procurar os clubes que podem ajudar a elevar o nome do país
nas camisolas, isto está a acontecer por exemplo, com a Ruanda nas
camisolas do Paris Saint Germain e Arsenal “Visit Rwanda” a campanha da
GB pode ser assim Visit Guinea-Bissau.
The sustainable development of tourism has now become a priority of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and a challenge for most destinations worldwide, especially at a time when tourism growth has been being rethought. Guinea-Bissau cannot be left behind in this great global challenge, which involves environmental preservation and a commitment to territorial economic cohesion of destinations and the valorization of their communities. This is what new management models are needed, based on the principles of sustainability that involve environmental, social and economic concerns. The present study used a set of secondary sources that allowed the characterization of Guinea-Bissau as a tourist destination and developed an exercise of auscultation with guincans on the perception of Guinea-Bissau as a sustainable destination, a total of 69 respondents to the questionnaire. The data collected made it possible to present a set of recommendations and actions to develop Guinea-Bissau with a view to sustainable management of the destination. In this dissertation the author hopes to realize his dream, which is to be able to make a contribution to responsible and sustainable tourism in Guinea-Bissau, the country that saw the author bom.
