Abstract(s)
longo do dia.
escola existente.
The constitution and the composition of parts of a city are the result of creative processes and diversified studies which cover different topics of the analyses and interpretation of the urban morphology, and architecture cannot be reduced to the basic idea of a project. The conceptual process that will lead to the implantation of the multigenerational housing complex and the design of the surrounding areas has to be managed by the relation of architecture with the place, in the precision of analysis of the locus, which constitutes a singular urban fact, by the topographic dimension and by its form . The interest of the multigenerational architecture program lies not in architecture, from a social point of view, but in urban communities with all the elements necessary for a functioning society: residences, commerce, leisure zones and other dynamic programs. The sector to be studied in detail is located in the place where the weekly fair of Viseu is held and the area of intervention corresponds to an urban void that marks the transition between the city and the periphery / rural agglomerates. It presents a privileged perspective towards the historical center and it is inserted in a plot that presents a relatively neutral topography, with well-demarcated boundaries and with enough proximity to one of the most privileged green spaces of the city, the Cava de Viritato. In order to avoid the mono-functionality of the zoning, the set was conceived as a mixed use scheme that is intended to be self-sustaining, incorporating the three spheres of urban life - housing, commerce and leisure - thus allowing its continuous use throughout the day. The volumes formalize an angle that intensifies the scenic setting of the space, which has as its backdrop the city's heritage (historic center and Cava de Viriato), and forming a common green space of private use to the condominium, a square flanked by trade and a sports and multifunctional pavilion associated with the existing school.
