Abstract(s)
O presente relatório está inserido no plano de estudo do Curso de Mestrado em Enfermagem – Área de Especialização de Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica e tem como intuito descrever, de forma reflexiva e crítica as atividades e competências especializadas adquiridas e desenvolvidas ao longo dos três estágios. Este relatório tem uma linha orientadora, tendo sido dada continuidade nos diferentes estágios, assim “A primazia da segurança do doente no cuidar em enfermagem”, suportada na revisão sistemática da literatura apresentada no primeiro capítulo, descreve as estratégias para a prevenção da queda do doente em contexto hospitalar. O primeiro estágio realizado em serviço de urgência fomentou o desenvolvimento de competências especializadas na prestação de cuidados e no trabalho de equipa. Após realização do diagnóstico de situação inicial, foi proposta uma formação à equipa de enfermagem sobre prevenção de quedas baseada na revisão sistemática da literatura efetuada. Esta visou sensibilizar os enfermeiros para a ocorrência deste fenómeno e subsidiar estratégias de enfermagem a implementar, contribuindo deste modo para a melhoria da qualidade dos cuidados em enfermagem, e segurança dos doentes. O segundo estágio, desenvolvido em Unidade de Cuidados Intensivos, promoveu o desenvolvimento da competência reflexiva e de procura do autodesenvolvimento, através de pesquisas constantes de temáticas, discussão e reflexão na equipa, sendo subsidiado pelo contributo dado pelo suporte nutricional de doentes críticos. No sentido da partilha de conhecimentos, foi também apresentada a formação sobre prevenção de quedas em contexto hospitalar, cuja temática é transversal aos estágios O estágio opcional foi desenvolvido em Bloco Operatório e teve como principal objetivo desenvolver competências no âmbito da relação de ajuda com o doente e a sua família, tendo presente as considerações éticas e humanas do cuidar. Apresentei a formação, descrita anteriormente, no sentido da promoção contínua de saúde e da melhoria da segurança e qualidade dos cuidados de enfermagem.
This report is part of the study plan of the Masters Degree in Nursing – with a specialization in Medical-Surgical Nursing and aims at describing, in a reflexive and critical way, the activities and specialised skills acquired and developed within the three traineeships. This report brings out a transversal theme, which was followed in the diferente traineeships: “The primacy of patient safety in nursing care” supported in the systematic literature review presented in the first chapter, describes the strategies to prevent the patient from falling in hospital context. The first nursing traineeship was pursued in the emergency department and encouraged the development of specialised skills in providing care and in team work. After an initial diagnosis of the department, I suggested to the nursing team a training in prevention of falls based on systematic literature review already concluded. This training aimed at sensitising the nurses for the occurrence of this incident and to promote nursing strategies to be implemented, thus contributing to the improving the quality of nursing care and the safety of patients. The second internsips, undertaken in at the Intensive Care Unit, promoted the development of reflexive skills and the search for self-development by means of constant research of themes, debate and reflexion within the team, supported by the contribution of critical patients. In the framework of sharing knowledge, the training in prevention of falls in hospital context, a theme transversal to all traineeships, was also presented. The optional traineeship was undertaken in Operating Room and its main aim was to develop skills in the helping relationship with the patient and its family, taking into consideration the ethical and human aspects of caring. I presented the previously referred to training in prevention of falls with a view to continuously promoting health and improving the safety and the quality of nursing care.
