The validity of the following dissertation is based upon the exploration of both stressing and satisfaction factors in parenthood, specifically to divorced fathers with children in preschool. So, in a effort to comprehend both the perception and the significance of divorced fathers when faced with these factors, it was performed a study pertaining these particular characteristics. After an interview was created, five semi-open interviews were conducted and its contents were analysed through a category system, built with N Vivo 9. Upon the goal analysis of the present study these were the results: The satisfaction factors mentioned by the fathers may be divided in factors directly concerning the father/child relationship, (1) their bond (their complicity and their alone-time) and the appreciation the child shows towards the father; (2) the father's role as a guide, and the satisfaction one has in teaching someone; (3) their ability to perform their role as parents; (4) and then, there are the external factors to the familiar context, such as academic performance and the recognition of the father's role by other people like friends and neighbours. The stressing factors mentioned by the fathers are (1) the child's individual characteristics, like the temper tantrums; (2) the fact that the parent may be unsure, uncertain pertaining his decisions and actions, as well as feel as if his not in control of the situation; (3) the parenting styles, the ambivalence; (4) the existence of routine, such as dinner and bedtime; (5) the existence of a scheduled playtime
