A literatura tem apontado para a relevância de se explorar a relação entre música e bem-estar, tendo esta já sido alvo de grande atenção durante várias décadas, e consequentemente tem mostrado ser dotada de alguma complexidade e desafio no que diz respeito ao entendimento de certos mecanismos e fenómenos. Porém, alguns domínios são melhor abordados do que outros. O presente estudo consiste no aprofundamento da compreensão da influência da música sobre as várias dimensões do bem-estar subjectivo a partir da exploração das diversas componentes da experiência musical, e de como estes outcomes podem ser apresentados diversificadamente quando relacionados com o papel preditor da prática musical, respeitante a um envolvimento activo (“praticantes”) ou envolvimento passivo (“ouvintes”).
The literature has pointed to the relevance of exploring a relationship between music and well-being, considering that it has been the subject of great attention for several decades and, consequently, has shown to be dotted with some complexity and challenge with regard to understanding certain mechanisms and phenomena. However, some domains are better handled than others. The present study consists in deepening the understanding of the influence of music on the various dimensions of subjective well-being, from the exploration of different components of the musical experience, and how these results can be displayed in a diversified way when related to the predictive role of music, regarding active involvement (“practitioners”) or passive involvement (“listeners”).
