Abstract(s)
Contudo, a imagem do Bom Pastor
Since the beginning of the Church, the figure of de Good Shepherd is one of the most cherished image to represent Jesus and his mission as leader of the Church. However, the roots of this figure are found throughout the surrounding peoples of Israel and throughout the Old Testament. What is certain is that it is in Jesus that it gains a new meaning, as he lays down hir life for his flock. In this way, the text of Jn 10, 11-18 encourages us to lock at the image of the Good Shepherd in a different way.
