Investigação colaboracional e multicêntrica em cuidados paliativos em Portugal: traços da realidade e perspetivas sobre como promover e melhorar

| dc.description.abstract | A realização de projetos de investigação de cariz colaboracional e multicêntrico tem vindo a ser implementada e fomentada, quer a nível nacional quer internacional, inclusive no domínio científico dos cuidados paliativos. O objetivo do presente estudo é o de descrever a realidade portuguesa nesta matéria, apontando possíveis estratégias para a promoção e melhoria deste tipo de projetos. A partir do envio de um questionário misto aos coordenadores de cursos de mestrado, pós-graduação e equipas de cuidados paliativos portugueses, num total de 25 respondentes, foi possível identificar que a maioria (15 dos 25 participantes) nunca participou em estudos de cariz colaboracional, quer de âmbito nacional quer internacional. Não obstante, praticamente todos os inquiridos (24 dos 25 respondentes) foram unânimes em apontar a relevância deste tipo de estudo, manifestando-se disponíveis para participar neste tipo de iniciativa. Como possíveis estratégias promotoras de investigação colaboracional e multicêntrica os participantes salientaram o estabelecimento de redes interprofissionais e interinstitucionais (networking), a realização de seminários de investigação, e o estabelecimento de acordos bilaterais (consórcios). | dc.description.abstract | The development of national and international collaborative and multicentred research projects is becoming a major and relevant feature, namely in the field of palliative care. Hence, the aim of this study is to describe the state of the development of this type of research in Portugal, pointing out possible strategies to promote and improve such collaborative projects. All coordinators of masters and post-graduation courses in palliative care and all coordinators of Portuguese specialised palliative care teams were requested to fill in a questionnaire where they were asked on their experience in conducting collaborative research projects. Out of a total of 25 participants, 15 never participated in such studies. Nonetheless, almost all participants were unanimous in stating that they consider these projects relevant, expressing their willingness in participating in initiatives of this kind. As possible strategies to promote collaborative research in Portugal, the participants indicated networking, research seminars and the establishment of bilateral research consortiums.
