In the last decades, exclusively online media started spreading over the world, sharing roles with those which already existed, adopting some of there caracheteristcs and bringing new ones. In Portugal that path was done slowly and the market only changed with the arrival of Observador, a news website that made the market move and used technology. This report focuses on Observador’s world, the newsroom behavior and the choices that were made there, mainly, during a highly mediatic day, as it was the day of Charlie Hebdo’s terrorist attack. This critique analasis is based on empiric experience and by studying authors that analised media, technology and there outcome on the society. Thus many processes were beholded from both mechanic and human relations and ethical points of view, on a day when the journalist and the writting subject are strongly connected.
