Within the scope of the Final Internship Curricular Unit and Report, framed in the Master’s Degree and Medical-Surgery Nursing Specialization Course, in the Nursing field for People in Critical Conditions, the purpose of this report is to demonstrate the skills acquired to provide specialised care in Medical-Surgical Nursing and as a Master. The objective of carrying out the Scoping Review was to map the comfort needs of the families of critically ill patients through scientific evidence. A final sample was obtained in which comfort needs experienced by the critically ill patient's family were identified. These needs were aggregated into the following dimensions: information, environment, interaction/relationship, psychological/spiritual, physiological and economic. With the identification of needs, we were able to understand the most evident needs of the critically ill patient's family members. The critical and reflective analysis of the path taken was divided into two contexts, General Emergency Service and Cardiothoracic Surgical Intensive Care Unit. Two very distinct services that complement each other as essential services in the care of a Person in Critical Condition and their Family, making it a very enriching experience for consolidating of knowledge and acquiring specialist nurse skills. Therefore, this report intends to reflect the research skills acquired during the production of the Scoping Review and the skills acquired in Specialised Nursing care for people in critical situations through the internships carried out in a training context.
