Este projeto fotográfico surgiu de forma inesperada. Durante anos, cartas e fotografias tinham sido guardadas. Com a sua descoberta, surge uma história que, ao longo do tempo, sofreu várias alterações e à qual, agora, acrescento a minha visão sobre os diversos momentos, através da recolha de fotografias, conciliando materiais da minha autoria com elementos de arquivo. O projeto fotográfico “Nowhere” nasce de uma procura pela verdade revelando uma linha ténue entre o que é real e imaginado. Seguindo um registo de memória e biografia, a incerteza e a curiosidade definem este trabalho fotográfico que retrata diversos momentos de confronto com a perda da pessoa retratada, a quem pertenciam os elementos encontrados, e a transformação que daí nasce.
This project was unexpected. For a long time, letters and photographs were kept hidden. With its discovery comes a story that changed many times through the years. In this final project, my vision on to different moments builds the narrative through photographs that are either mine or from my grandmother. “Nowhere” represents a search for truth throughout time, revealing a thin line between what is real or not. This project is driven by uncertainty and curiosity, creating a biography with fading memories. Each photograph defines a moment of loss and transformation.
