dc.description.abstractA utilização da Internet tem vindo a crescer rapidamente nas últimas décadas. Apesar da maioria dos utilizadores fazerem um uso controlado da Internet, um grupo destes perde progressivamente o controlo. Nas últimas décadas têm surgido alguns estudos que conceptualizam os comportamentos disfuncionais no uso da Internet como uma doença e mais recentemente como problema. Existe alguma controvérsia quanto à sua conceptualização, portanto estudos neste domínio têm-se desenvolvido em torno de dois conceitos, a adição e o uso problemático. Têm surgido nos últimos anos estudos, ainda que escassos, que exploram a relação entre a vinculação ou qualidade da relação com os pais e o uso problemático da Internet. Assim sendo, o objetivo deste trabalho será analisar o papel preditivo da qualidade das estruturas relacionais no Uso Problemático Generalizado da Internet (UPGI), analisar as correlações entre as estruturas relacionais e o UPGI e analisar se existem diferenças significativas no UPGI e na qualidade das estruturas relacionais, entre o sexo feminino e o sexo masculino.pt_PT
dc.description.abstractThe use of the Internet has been growing rapidly in recent decades. Although most users make controlled use of the Internet, a group of them are progressively losing control. In the last decades some studies have emerged that conceptualize the dysfunctional behaviors in the use of the Internet as dependence. There is controversy regarding its conceptualization, therefore studies in this domain have developed around two concepts, the addition and the problematic use. In recent years there have been studies that corroborate the linkage or quality of the relationship with parents and the problematic use of the Internet. However, the objective of this work is to analyse the predictive role of relational structures in the Generalized Problem Use of the Internet (UPGI), to analyze the correlations between the relational structures and the UPGI and to analyze if there are significant differences in the UPGI and in the quality of the structures relationship between the female sex and the male.pt_PT
