O presente relatório foi desenvolvido no domínio da atividade clínica e destina-se a relatar experiências obtidas na Universidade Católica Portuguesa de Viseu durante o ano letivo de 2015/2016. As situações aqui expostas descrevem a atividade clínica realizada nas diferentes áreas disciplinares, desde o estabelecimento de um correto diagnóstico e plano de tratamento, até à descrição dos tratamentos efetuados, ilustrando todos os casos a nível epidemiológico do total de pacientes observados. A contabilização de atos clínicos do binómio 8 será também um ponto a abordar, com distinção de atos presenciados como operador e assistente. Durante o presente relatório irão ser reunidos os casos realizados nas diferentes áreas disciplinares que compõem o Mestrado Integrado em Medicina Dentária.
A metodologia aplicada é baseada em todos os dados adquiridos durante os dois semestres do ano letivo de 2015/2016, unicamente em doentes da clínica universitária, que foram analisados numa base de dados do software Microsoft Office Excel® 2013. A realização da caracterização geral da amostra, e a análise dos pacientes por área disciplinar é realizada sem critérios de exclusão, dado que limitaria o número de casos observados.
Toda a atividade prática vivenciada em ambiente clínico no curso de Mestrado Integrado em Medicina Dentária é fundamental sendo que permite o desenvolvimento de capacidades profissionais, a aquisição de valores e conhecimentos. É importante realçar a constante influência instrutiva dos docentes de cada área disciplinar que auxiliaram no desenvolvimento da conduta académica e da aprendizagem profissional.
This report was developed in the field of clinical activity and is intended to describe experiences obtained in the Portuguese Catholic University of Viseu during the school year of 2015/2016. The exposed situations describe clinical activity performed in the different areas since the establishment of a correct diagnosis and treatment plan, to the description of the treatment used, illustrating all cases in the epidemiological level of all observed patients. Number of clinical acts of binomial 8 will also be a point to discuss, with the distinction between the ones attended as an operator and assistant. In this report the cases performed in the different subjects that take part in the Master of Dental Medicine will be gathered. The methodology is based on all the data acquired during the two semesters of the academic year 2015/2016, only from the patients of the university clinic, and was analyzed with Microsoft Office Excel® 2013. The general characterization of the sample and the analysis of patients by area are performed without exclusion criteria, as it would limit the number of observed cases. Every practical activity experienced in the clinical environment of the Master in Dentistry is essential, because it enables the development of professional skills, the acquisition of values and knowledge. Likewise, it’s important to notice the constant instructive influence of teachers in each area who helped in the development of academic and professional conduct.
