Abstract(s)
In recent decades, significant progress has been made regarding the rise of women in leadership positions, contributing to the promotion of gender equality and the incorporation of more inclusive perspectives. However, challenges persist related to the management and progression of female talent within organizations and the full integration of strategies adopted by female leadership. In the healthcare sector organizations play a crucial role in developing solutions that meet the needs of their target audience. Organizations like Organon, which focus on women’s health, present a unique opportunity to evaluate how female leadership impact organizational outcomes. This research seeks to understand the impact of female leadership in organizations focused on women’s health. To strengthen the robustness of this study, a mix-method approach was adopted. The qualitive method was used to collect exploratory data through an interview with the General Manager of Organon Portugal, aiming to identify and characterize female leadership practices within the organization under study. Meanwhile, the quantitative method was employed to gather primary data through a questionnaire survey with employees, with the objective of understanding how employees perceive female leadership practices at Organon Portugal. The main findings of the research highlight the positive perception of Organon Portugal’s employees regarding the leadership style of their female leaders, as well as the importance and positive impact of female leadership in an organization whose mission is centered on women’s health.
