Abstract(s)
O presente relatório dissertativo visa revelar as potencialidades de utilização das imagens no processo de ensino-aprendizagem de línguas estrangeiras, através da investigação teórica e a prática pedagógica.
Na primeira parte desenvolvemos uma investigação teórica sobre a definição ampla do conceito de imagem. Tendo em conta a sua posição na sociedade atual, ligamos o crescimento da comunicação visual com a educação, sobretudo neste caso, no ensino de línguas. A partir daí, evidenciamos os benefícios de aplicação das imagens, e, para tirar o maior proveito deste recurso visual, será desenvolvida uma reflexão sobre as relações imagem-texto e a importância de formação de imagens/modelos mentais que possam contribuir para a seleção das imagens na preparação de aulas de modo a facilitar a compreensão da matéria pela parte dos alunos.
Tomando as teorias desenvolvidas, na segunda parte deste relatório descreveremos a metodologia de investigação e analisaremos as aulas dinamizadas pelo professor-investigador. A análise será feita com base nos resultados das tarefas da aula, das atividades implementadas e na reação imediata dos alunos; também, para uma análise holística, serão tidas em consideração outras aulas sem o recurso visual.
The present report aims to reveal the 1 of the use of the imagery in the process of teaching-learning of foreign languages, through the theoretical investigation and the pedagogic practice. In the first part we investigate the theoretical definition of the concept of imagery. Considering its position in the current society, we evidence the benefits of images’ application by associating the growth of the visual communication with the languages teaching. Furthermore, to take advantage of this visual resource, we reflect the image-text relationships and the importance of formation of mental image/model which can contribute to the selection of imagery in lesson preparation and a better understanding for students in terms of language learning. Having the theoretical base, in the second part we describe the investigation methodology for our study and analyze the lessons of teacher-investigator. The elaboration of the analysis is based on the results of the classwork, of the implemented activities and students' reaction. Furthermore, for the holistic analysis, it is included the comparation between the lessons with and without the visual resource.
