O ensino/ aprendizagem do espanhol como Língua Estrangeira (LE) carece de estratégias
e recursos que possibilitem aos alunos memorizar, apreender e reter unidades lexicais, quer
sejam básicas, quer sejam mais complexas, para posteriormente as saberem aplicar em
contextos reais e adequados, desenvolvendo, através destes, tanto as habilidades de
compreensão como de expressão. O uso dos audiovisuais como recurso didático/ estratégia
nas aulas de espanhol como língua estrangeira constitui uma ferramenta importante, atual e
atrativa que favorece o desenvolvimento da compreensão oral e escrita e consequentemente
permitirá o aperfeiçoamento e o desenvolvimento da competência comunicativa. Além disso,
estes materiais por serem autênticos possibilitam um contato mais próximo da língua falada e
das suas variantes regionais e dialectais, bem como de aspetos socioculturais importantes,
constituem uma amostra da prática real da língua, são, portanto, transmissores de informação
mais próximos da realidade que se pretende demonstrar e trazer para o contexto de sala de
aula.
O presente trabalho tem como principal objetivo mostrar a importância do uso dos
recursos audiovisuais como ferramenta didática nas aulas, sobretudo dos vídeos de curta
duração, dos videoclipes, de alguns anúncios publicitários e de reportagens televisivas,
especialmente no ensino/ aprendizagem de língua espanhola, pois acreditamos que estes
recursos hão de favorecer o processo de ensino/ aprendizagem de léxico, bem como a sua
memorização a longo prazo e permitirão ainda desenvolver a habilidade para utilizar o
sistema linguístico de um modo efetivo e apropriado quando as mais variadas necessidades e
situações assim o exijam.
The teaching and learning of Spanish as a foreign language (FL), among other possibilities that are inherent to the teaching and learning of the language, needs strategies and resources that allow the students to memorize, learn and retain lexical units, either basic ones, either more complex ones in order to be able to use them in real and adequate contexts later, developing through them both the understanding and the production skills. The usage of audio-visual as didactic resource/strategy in the Spanish lanugage as a foreign language lessons, mainly video clips and short video films, is an important tool that is both attractive and trendy enabling the development of oral and written understanding and allowing the development and improvement of communicative skills. Furthermore, being authentical, these materials allow a deeper contact with spoken language and its regional and dialectal varietions, as well as with important socio-cultural aspects and are, therefore, information transmitters closer to reality which are intended to be shown and brought into the classroom. This paper has the main objective of showing the importance of audio-visual resources, mainly short video films and video clips, as didactical tool in classes, especially in the teaching and learning of the Spanish language because we believe that these resources will improve the teaching and learning of lexicon as well as its long term memorization, allowing also development of the ability to use the linguistic system in an effective and appropriate way when the most variable needs and situations demand it.
